Review Plantation Gardens Restaurant - Poipu

Very nice place for date night or to meet up with friends. Located in Poipu, definitely worth a visit. Has a gorgeous garden in the front and nice open air place. Went for happy hour and had a chicken sandwich with a few drinks. Drink are priced very reasonable at $4-$5 for happy hour. You won’t find as nice a place as this with those prices. Service was good. We were a large group so it did take some time to get drinks at first but waiter kept checking when mine was low. Only complaint is parking is not near the restaurant. You park up the hill and walk down to it. Happy hour from 4:30-5:30.

Plantation Gardens, and Amy - our event coordinator, were simply incredible. We had our intimate (9 people) wedding reception there, and everything from start to finish was fantastic. Amy made everything so easy, and gave us tremendous confidence that everything would be handled so we wouldn't have to sweat the details. The grounds we're beautiful, the food was great, and the atmosphere tremendous. The guests all loved it and had a great time, and everything went off without a hitch. Thanks to Amy and Plantation Gardens for an unforgettable evening!

I recently worked with Amy Evans with a small group private dinner at Plantation Gardens Restaurant. She made the whole planning process easy planning from Nebraska. The chef's and staff made an AMAZING dinner with delicious options for our unusual special requests of vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free special diets. The patio dining was lovely, the servers were amazing and it was a stress free lovely evening. My compliments to all.

We enjoyed our anniversary dinner here and had delicious fish and pork chop. Would highly recommend the pork chop for that perfect grilled and sweet mix. The place definitely needs a few updates but was overall relaxing and pleasant.

I love everything about this place! You walk in and are greeted by a friendly hostess. We asked to sit out on the lanai and had a wonderful table waiting for us. The busses was quick with waters and the server shortly followed. He was also very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the seafood stir fry and it was AMAZING!!! Exactly what I was looking for. Only bummer was it filled me up with no room for dessert. Will def be going back to enjoy more of their food options.

Loved everything about this restaurant. The atmosphere of outdoor dining with soft Hawaiian music playing was great. All the staff were exceptional. The food was delicious. The Mai Tai was sweet and strong.

Beautiful old plantation Hawaii setting. Sat outside at the bar for dinner. Food and drinks we're all great. Our bartender was friendly, but the rest of the staff looked miserable. No smiles, no joking around. Too bad. I wanted to love it, but not worth returning to a grumpy group of staff.

There are times that everything comes together. The atmosphere is unmatched for a real Hawian feel Our waitress was off the hook! After a quick question we found out she has only been waitress for two weeks. Well mannered and super sharp. The pot roast was amazing. But don't miss the baked Hawian....no really.

Beautiful gardens. We were there after dark, but you could still see they were full of orchids of all kinds. We ate on the lanai. Food was good. It was a fabulous location. Way off the beaten track, but worth it. Make reservations.

We celebrated a birthday here and had a wonderful evening. We ordered the coconut shrimp, coconut curry stew, and seafood Lau Lau which were all delicious. The open air, garden atmosphere made for a very nice evening.

This place was excellent. I had the Mahi crusted and it was one of the better pieces of fish I’ve had in awhile. The service and ambience were really good.

We had our ceremony and wedding at Plantation Gardens. Planning a wedding from thousands of miles away can seem totally overwhelming; however, Amy made the planning process so simple. Plantation Gardens works with the BEST vendors--and made the process so easy. It felt as though we were able to just show up and enjoy the day--they took care of every detail, which was exactly what we wanted. Amy is well respected on the island and a joy to work with. She kept me calm as the ring bearers became a bit rowdy right before their big moment. The orchid garden is an amazing location for the ceremony--and seamlessly transitions into the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. The food was unbelievable--many of our guests stated the food was rated among one of their best meals they have ever had. They were sensitive and proactive for our guests with food allergies. There are many different options from the menu and it was so hard to narrow it down as everything looked so amazing. We ended up choosing the tuna, rib-eye, and surf and turf and all three were perfection. The service was just the BEST--they were so proactive and anticipated our every need. We received so many positive comments about how awesome the service was at our wedding. When my husband I were looking back on the day, there is literally not one thing we would have changed. Amy and her team made our day perfection. I cannot thank Plantation Gardens enough!

Food was amazing when I came here with my husband for dinner. Service great and attentive as always! Had my wedding here a few nights before and it was exceptionally beautiful. The gardens are a great backdrop when enjoying coconut shrimp on the veranda. Love the cocktails too. Overall great people, great food, great location!

We had our wedding reception here. Amy was an absolute dream to work with. She was extremely responsive, attentive to our desires and very patient in explaining our cake request. The portions were large and the history and style of the building was very nice and gave it a much more homey feel. I can't recommend this place enough.

Nice dinner tonight at Plantation Gardens Restaurant. I had ahi tuna special and Dan had Black Pepper tofu. Both were spectacular!!!

Avoid the seafood Lau Lau and potstickers. Lau Lau had one piece of fish. Potstickers had way too much dough. The location is great. Beautiful garden and outdoor setting. Kids buttered noodles was more like grown up mac and cheese. It's really good but my kid did not like it since she wanted buttered noodles but got mac and cheese. Reasonable prices in wine �. I would have rated higher but ordered the restaurant specialty and it was a disappointment. Never got to dessert. We were in a time crunch

We had our wedding reception at Plantation Gardens a few nights ago. Everything from the communication leading up to the wedding, to the atmosphere, food and service was outstanding! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. Highly recommend!

I love this restaurant. The food and the ambiance are fabulous. I loved working there years ago, love returning when I can to Enjoy the specials and especially the seafood Laulau. We were married there and it was absolutely beautiful! My only complaint is the staff ate our wedding cake... that’s why I’m giving 4 stars, not 5. But honestly, the food, the servers, the chefs, everything is awesome! Shout out to Uncle Kimo- we love you!

Wonderful restaurant, excellent food and terrific staff that made for a very memorable dinning experience. They don't just serve what's on the menu. They will offer suggestions to modify items on the menu to the tastes of the diner.

Look no further than Plantation Gardens for a beautiful wedding venue with the best food and drink on the island. Gina and staff are outstanding. Our wedding guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding anywhere.

This is a great restaurant. The food and service are excellent. If you want the feel of old Hawaii 1920's -1930's this is a great spot. The house architecture and orchid gardens are beautiful.

Perfect island setting, beautiful orchard garden, great food & service. Be careful or you'll end up spending $$$ but wonderful for a splurge!

My husband and I had a wonderful rib eye steak. It was a 12oz. Cooked to perfection. The garden was beautiful. We will go again next time We are here in Hawaii.

As a former Flight Attendant I've had the privilege to travel the world and experience a variety of cuisines around the world. This was without a doubt one of the best meals, and dining experience I've ever had! We look forward to returning again and again!
