The Charcoal Grill

Came in two years ago and was not impressed but decided to give it another try a couple days ago with a girlfriend for her birthday.. She had the peasant lunch and I had the ribs and strings.. We loved everything! Service was great, ribs tender, chicken dumpling was delicious. Talked to our server about my previous experience and she said the place is under new ownership.. Could definitely tell a difference.

Got sick from the food. Ordered two burgers for me and a buddy. Asked for med well. When we got our food it was cold and under cooked. Not even safe for consumation. Asked for another but they decided to just throw the same burger on the that I ate part of already and over cooked it. Worse service ever. Did not even taste good would not recommend. Good server.

We made a special trip to Plover to eat at the Charcoal Grill. It's our favorite place but this time it was very disappointing. The spinach artichoke dip was awesome as usual but our experience went downhill from there. The waiter appeared to want to be anywhere but at work. He was very short when he spoke at all. My daughter ended up with onion strings for a side when she ordered waffle fries. We brought it to the attention of the waiter and his excuse was that the cook was overwhelmed. It was 3:30 on Saturday afternoon, there were people sitting at 5 tables and 3 of them had their food so I'm not sure why he would have been overwhelmed. It seemed like the staff wanted to hang out in a back room or somewhere rather than waiting on customers. I used the restroom before we left and as I walked through the restaurant I could not see a single staff member in the bar or restaurant area. Very disappointing.
