Reviews Thai House

To preface this review, I lived in Thailand, I'm married to a Thai, and I might be something of a food snob. I have also rarely ever bothered to write a review for a restaurant. We have eaten here a few times in the 3 months since they opened. The food is always hot, fresh, and beyond compare. But I brought my kids here for dinner last night, and it is last night's experience that I want to share. We had the shrimp rolls to start. Crispy outside, tender shrimp inside, served with a sweet and slightly spicy sauce... delicious! After finishing the plateful, my kids asked if we could order more. For our entrees, we ordered the pad woon sen (fried glass noodles), which is one of my favorite dishes, one that we make and eat frequently at home. I was curious to see how it would compare. We also ordered the minty shrimp salmon. I admit I wasn't sure about this one. The pad woon sen was comparable to our homemade version, so that made me happy. The highlight of the meal, though, was definitely the minty shrimp salmon, which is actually a misnomer. There is no mint, but rather basil, which gives the sauce the tiniest hint of spice, ideal for introducing young taste buds to the unique flavor of basil. The salmon is deep fried and, quite simply, cooked to perfection. The sauce paired fabulously with the salmon, the shrimp, and all the vegetables. Onions and bell peppers have never been my favorites, but even those were tasty with a spoonful of jasmine rice and that delectable sauce. My 2 older children shared the final piece of salmon, after fighting over who should have it. Needless to say, the food was a big hit with all of us. I feel it would be negligent of me to not comment on the service since service is an integral part of restauranting. There were 2 servers, a young girl and a man. Both were professional and courteous. They were attentive, but not hover-y, and seemed to know customer needs before the needs had to be voiced. We experienced this first-hand, and observed it in their interactions with other diners. At one point, one of my children asked the female server if she likes working in the restaurant. Her response was, without hesitation, "Yes, I do!" You could see that she does enjoy it and takes pride in doing a good job. After talking with the male server for some time, we found him to be all the things we had already observed and also that he is very personable. My normally very shy kids were high-fiving and doing knuckles with him by the time we left. To close, this is a restaurant that I feel equally comfortable bringing my children or parents to, having a family reunion at, or enjoying a meal alone with my husband. The food ranges from 'no spice' to 'Thai spicy' so all tastes can be satisfied. The 5 stars are well-earned and much deserved. Well done, Pleasant Grove Thai House.

Awesome food, Thai tea was awesome. If you like spicy food make sure to get the extra spicy, the regular had no spice to it. Would highly recommend though!

1st time to eat here - I was very impressed with their food. This restaurant could become my favorite Thai restaurant in Utah. The sweet and sour chicken was amazing. Try it - well worth the visit.

A very unique experience! The staff earns a 5 star rating, but the decor and overall atmosphere was lacking for me. The food was very good, and the service was very quick, friendly, and helpful. It’s a good intro to Thai food if you’ve never experienced it before.

Thai House is LEGIT!! If you have ever spent time in Thailand and need to find a place that can actually produce Thai food that tastes just like the real thing, Thai House is the place to go!! I absolutely love the staff, the price, the atmosphere and all the menu items. I've even had my order end up wrong before and I still wasn't mad. I hit this place once a week almost every single week. Great place for a 1st date, married date night, business lunch, double date and even a sad single adult can have an amazing experience here.

I got the shrimp mango curry. It was very good. My friend got the pumpkin curry. It was also very good. I thought it was interesting they served the communal rice in a large beaten silver pot, but the pot was only about a quarter full. I would have liked more rice. We could probably have asked for more but we didn't see our cook/waiter much. Tall counter height tables that were quite close together. All that considered, I would eat here again.

Thai House Cuisine in Pleasant Grove is a delightful culinary gem that never fails to satisfy my Thai food cravings. What sets this restaurant apart is not only the exquisite flavors of their dishes but also the charming atmosphere created by its location in a historic downtown home. The fusion of traditional Thai cuisine with the quaint ambiance of the historic building makes for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. I am a regular customer at Thai House Cuisine, drawn in by the warm and welcoming service provided by the family who owns and runs the restaurant. Their personal touch adds a special charm to the place, and they've come to know me, creating a sense of familiarity that enhances my dining experience. Two dishes that keep me coming back for more are the Pad Thai and the Massaman Curry. The Pad Thai boasts a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, with tender noodles and an abundance of fresh ingredients. The Massaman Curry, on the other hand, is a rich and aromatic delight, showcasing the chef's skill in blending spices to perfection. Whether I'm in the mood for a quick takeout order or a leisurely sit-down meal, Thai House Cuisine accommodates both seamlessly. The convenience of ordering takeout is a big plus for my busy lifestyle, and when I do decide to dine in, the cozy atmosphere of the historic home adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the overall experience. Thai House Cuisine is a culinary haven where delicious flavors, personalized service, and a touch of history come together harmoniously.

Mmmmmmm!! We have come here many many times for the past 14 years and still love it so much. Our go-to choices to order are the Massaman Curry, the Tom Ka Gai soup, and Pad Thai. The Mango Curry is very tasty as well and does have some spice to it... just fyi. As far as ambiance, I do wish the lighting was more soft and that the tables weren't so close together. But I realize that it also adds to the experience of dining in an old house. The tasty food more than makes up for the lighting. I also like that there are some pictures inside of the menu. That always helps me decide what to order. We will come back again soon!!

This is always my go-to place for authentic Thai food! You get plenty of food for the price, and it always tastes fresh and delicious. I'm partial to the pumpkin curry, the AMAZING pad thai and the succulent sticky mango rice dessert. I will say though, if you choose to dine in, it is difficult to move around. The restaurant is built inside what used to be a house, so space is tight, and picking up an order can be precarious (the front door is narrow and finicky). I just can't bring myself to knock off a star for it though.

Not only is the food absolutely to die for, but the service is out of this world! We had a Thai craving that just wouldn't quit, and we ordered a few mango curries that are absolutely delicious. When we went to pick them up, they threw in some spring rolls on the house. It made our day. ❤️ We will definitely be coming back very soon.

Food is always delicious. I love their lunch specials especially. Tom ga kai soup is wonderful. Atmosphere is fun. It's decorated with Thai artifacts. An old house with drafts and a little tight for room but a good place to go for a date or with a friend.

Want to tease my pallet with something new, something different. Oh my gosh, this was amazing. The food is so authentic because it's family owned. Driven by it 100's of times. This place will be on my short list for now on.

Excellent! I love the massaman, and the pumpkin curry is a bit spicy but we love it too. We tried the steam buns for the first time, they were great! Even my kids wanted more. We also tried the rice pudding, which was really rich and yummy. The portion sizes are great for the price, and they give you plenty of rice for your curry.

This is regarding the newest review, written by liv Osborn. I was adjacent to their table, This hardworking working waitress should not have been given the treatment she got, not only is she short-staffed she was mostly in the back helping In the kitchen. she was very kind to them and anyone she sat, even if they were rude. We're regulars and this is by far the best restaurant I have been served by. (Another couple wrote a note apologizing on their behalf, I mean c'mon!!)
