There was four of us and we had to share one menu. There were many items no longer available on the menu. The waitress had a hard time communicating with us, but the food was good. Had black fungus with bok choy, pork belly, and crispy chicken.

Restaurant advised to make reservation, but when I did our reserved table was not available upon our arrival. Ordered 5 dishes and all were served quick and tasty, but rice was half cooked. Although replaced, we were still charged for the undercooked.
Revisited 5/26 to order wife's favorite smoked fish to go. They would not take our order unless there are at least 2 items which we obliged. Unlike last dine-in experience, this order was filled with small, thin pieces which we asked to replace. The manager/owner rudely refused. The small thin pieces were overcooked and tough but good taste. Other pieces didn't have the flavor cooked through. Thus overpriced as well.

Am authentic Shanghaiese food or Jiangzhe food (江浙本帮菜). They have great choice of things you don't typically see in other similar restaurants like Soy Sauce Noodle(奥灶面), steamed chicken and chicken broth (much better than most of the restaurants), and a type of salad like dish(凉拌马兰头) (not the typical western salad).

Food is fresh, perfectly spicy. The staff is a little slow on refills rice and drink. This is a family style restaurant. Order 3 or dishes to share. Traditional and authentic.

This is a great Chinese restaurant! The foods was very tasty and the decoration was very Chinese. The whole business was just too Chinese, they seems not even have a English menu, I wondered if they would get sued for that. I would highly recommend the Clay Pot Fish head and Tofu, much better than the one from Jeng Chi.

Food was great, but service need to be improved. I ordered the pumpkin soup but they ended up sending me something else. While I told our servant it was a wrong one, she asked us can we just take it...seriously? you should replace the right one for us instead of asking can you take it. I rejected her request and asked her to give us the correct order.

Great authentic Chinese food. No general tso or sesame chicken here. Actually their updated menu is only in Chinese. Packed with Chinese families and couples and really nice decoration. My favorite dish was tofu and broccoli (trust me on this it's better than it sounds). The tofu is made into noodles and it was a great texture and broccoli was sliced so thin I thought it was spinach.

As an international foodie moving from NYC，I assure you that this is the best Chinese restaurant in TX for authentic Chinese food. Oil is clean and materials are fresh。The cook was professional trained from China. We go there all the time，not for the 99 ranch.
