Review Hokkaido Ramen Santouka - Plano

Brenda Q
My favourite Hokkaido Ramen place, the broth is creamy and rich, noodle texture is great, pork is juicy tender. We ordered the Chef recommendation and Miso broth. Both ramen is great. They have branches in other countries too, been to a few. The Ramen taste is uniformed, never disappoints me as always. 👍🏻

Absolutely delightful. I never would have expected such a gem in a food court if it weren't for the reviews. The ramen in my picture is the medium-sized Shio (salt) Ramen, and it was delicious. Definitely coming back here, and maybe visiting their Japanese locations to compare! This place DOES take card.

My family and my parents in law went to Hokkaido Ramen at Mitsuwa market to have dinner on 3/25/19. After we are done ordering, my husband and I went to the tap to get water. And there was a couple piece of black cotton-looking stuff came out from Hokkaido’s tap, which looks really gross (see pic). We were shocked and take the cups immediately to the counter to speak with the staff. After we handing over the cup to show to the guy in the counter, he simply said he has no idea why there seems to be trash in the water and immediately poured the water into the trash can. No apologies whatsoever! It’s only until I told him that I have already taken pictures of the dirty water, there is another lady came out and apologized to us. And the staff went back to kitchen to grab 5 cups of water for us. And this is not the end of the story!! Among the 5 cups of water we got, the water in one of the cups looks really greasy and oily (see pic). And then I found a piece of hair in my bowl (see pic). The hair is black and straight. Although I am Asian, but my hair is dyed yellow, and my husband and my mother in law's hair are curly, and my father in law's hair is white. So we were fairly sure the hair is not from us. We went back to the counter and told them what we found about water and hair. And a guy named Johnny fiercely accused us how it is impossible that we found issues three times in a meal, implying that we put our own hair into the bowl for maybe free dish (god knows what he is thinking). He yelled at me the whole time and straight up that he is not going to apologize and we can take this to the court if we wish. His rude attitude towards me got my husband mad as well and started to arguing with him. Not until their argument started to attract the attention of the people in the food court, Johnny finally decided to apologize to me for being really rude, but still refused to apologize for the hair in the noodle. In the end, they did offer to refund me plus a free bowl. But what I want is simply clean food and respect. I took the refund as there is no reason for me to pay for their dirty dish, returned my previous bowl, and refused the free bowl. I don’t need your 15 bucks. But I do want to be treated with respect a customer deserves.

Cash Only! One of the more authentic ramen places in DFW. This is Hokkaido style ramen from a global franchise. Check it out at the Mitsuwa Food Court.

Great ramen, me and my husband go here frequently for date nights. We usually get the miso ramen and spicy miso ramen, the pork flavor in both is amazing! The line can be a bit long depending on when you go (especially weekends) but there’s relatively no line when they first open on a weekday.

Long line unless you ho there as the restaurant opens. The soup is really good, probably one of the best in Dallas so far. I hope they keep it up because other ramen shops' soup keep getting diluted over time. New summer menu available.

Famous Japanese Ramen. Soup is creamy, but too salty. Noddle is chewable. Yummy! So happy Dallas has a traditional Ramen Store.
