Review Costa Vida - Plano

I was not a fan of the burrito. The chicken had great flavor while the red sauce had a strong taste of cumin. It was almost off-putting, but I was extremely hungry so I ate most of it. I also ordered a flan, which was too sweet for my enjoyment. I may have gotten diabetes from one bite. I feel a bit ripped off because I spent over $19 for this meal, and I couldn't enjoy it. Perhaps I'll order something else in the future & I'll like it. UPDATE: I love the flan afterall.

I love the food from this restaurant. Everything is always fresh. The quesadillas are way above any else in town. Lots of chicken and cheese, instead of dry and flat like most places. Also if you’re ordering delivery, they package it well. Everything is in foil and is still hot when you get it. The tres leches is a winner for dessert!

Stopped by for quick meal on the way out of town. The place was very clean and had almost no customers. Although they appeared to have plenty of staff the food did not come out very quickly, and ironically, was cold. The meat had a fairly unfamiliar taste and did not seem to be very good quality. The bathrooms were clean but parking was fairly limited. The location is in close proximity to the highway so getting to it is not a problem. There are probably better options out there although this will do in a pinch.

I must've ordered the wrong thing cause i don't understand the high score here. I got 2 shredded beef enchs with rice and beans chips and queso. My food was barely warm. That may have been my fault for adding Pico block and sour cream. Mustve lowered the food temp. The queso was oddly grainy. The shell used for the enchiladas was tough and to me the shell has a funny yeasty taste. I didn't like it. The guac didnt taste fresh. The tea was fermented so i switched to soda. I feel i wasted $20. I threw it away after eating 1 ench and a few bites of the rice and beans. I wont return unless someone else was to buy my food. Id try something totally different

WOW! The food was awesome. Great place and good prices for the portions! 5 of us went in hungry and we came out well fed. I finished my plate but I'm a big eater. My plate had a good amount for a big eater. So all big eaters, this place will handle you :) You can see in my pics that the portions are large. I took my 3 big eater boys and my wife. My wife and 8 year old son could only eat half their plates but the 19 and 20 year old got their appetites stuffed and finished their meals and were satisfied. For those 2 guys, it was their 3rd time but was my first as they introduced me. The service was quick. From the time we placed our orders to the time we paid, it was within 5 minutes. Those guys moved rapidly and were very generous with the portions! For the 5 of us, our total was right at $50 after taxes. The vibe is great with the decor. Everything was clean and all the employees were wearing masks and we were required to wear our masks inside as well. Lots of room inside and we were able to space out. The entire ambiance was lively with a beach theme, obviously with Costa Vida. I loved the surfboard lights and surfing scenes on the monitors. Very welcoming and quite inviting. The restroom was clean and maintained.

Use to be a five star big fan of the franchise, but my last two orders have been horrible. My wife's sweet pork had no sweet pork and no lettuce, and no sauce inside either chicken or sweet pork smothered. They ripped me off two ranches. I live in Anna so it's not like I can drive out and fix it. Ill post pictures. I don't play three strikes I'm out on the Costa Vida in Plano.

Honestly IMO these quesadillas are better than the ones at fuzzys. Better quality meat. Cute little restaurant, nice place to sit down- and there’s a really cool display for kids to look at and be distracted with. Not a huge fan of quesadillas with mixed cheese but it was actually pretty good!

UPDATE Oct 2020. Back again with loyalty club discount. Good deal again and we got leftovers UPDATE May 2020 OooRah! Open again for inside dining (limit 30) during Wuhan virus crises. Still good food especially with a loyalty coupon and military discount. We got the small entree (see photo) which was plenty.Inspired by coupon with free entree with purchase of another entree we tried this place two days after opening (Oct 2016). And so did a number of other folks for weekday lunch hour. A bit confusing for new customers with so many fresh choices and the staff coped fairly well. They are learning their jobs a bit under fire. Helpful to have one of staff at end of line to explain what's available and how to order. We plan to go back and mix and match other combinations of food. BTW: I saw one customers with the large burrito and it was too big for two; so be very hungry. UPDATE Nov 2016. Second visit during weekend lunch hr. Not busy at all compared to weekday lunch. We got the two bahia bowls; beef and pork. Very good. I think choosing the right sauce makes the difference.
