Rita's Italian Ice

Been going to Rita's for years and has always been pretty good. However, lately (seems in the last 2 years) the quality has been a bit inconsistent and the portions are half of what they used to be. Of course, prices have gone up (like everything else), but a "large" custard cup for example is now only half-filled and more empty space that custard. Shrinkflation at work, apparently. Do they think no one notices or cares? No longer a good value IMO.

Great place for Italian ice, however, service was super slow. waited for about 15 min in front after giving the order. I guess probably rush time besides that other items were also great concrete and brownie sundae with great flavor though. I will recommend this and absolutely will go back again to try different flavors of Italian ice. They use fresh fruit daily for their Italian ice. parking is super congested where we were sitting cars were also passing by. It was hard for us to sit and enjoy ice cream so ended up taking it in our can and eating in there.

Me and my friend tried to go get ice cream tonight. Their were blinds covering the windows and they appeared closed even though it was 9:30 and they close at 10:00 (according to Google). We were outside waiting for 20 minutes and eventually we had to knock on the window to try to get service, only to be met by a person from inside yelling “we’re closed.” I usually love Rita’s but this is a negative experience that I’ll never forget.

I think majority of children and parents alike are familiar with Rita's and itheir menu servings. This place is certainly a go to spot on hot day！So if you are not an ice cream fan, well try the custard! What refreshing and light taste! And of course their signature Italian ice, I love the mango! The price is fairly reasonable but when it comes to a hot 🔥 day, this is a no brainer. Sorry Doc, I bent the rules a bit today 😅
