Oasis Diner - Plainfield - Photo album

Cute diner inside and out. Retro decor: vinyl albums, 8 track and cassette tapes, vintage metal lunch boxes and old license plates line the walls. A mounted wall TV was playing Brady Bunch shows the entire time. It was Mother's Day and many customers were dining out so it was quite crowded. Limited
So it looked amazing! But it was all breading, very little meat, breading flavor. I’ve had some very good tenderloins there before but would not go back. Onion rings looked amazing but same thing, way too much breading! Service was great, friendly and accommodating.
Great place holding much nostalgia for roadside diners of decades past. Updated menu that has many contemporary dishes, as well as old favorites like the biscuits and gravy I had. My wife had her favorite corned beef hash (she rated it 10 out of 5). Probably will become our regular spot, even tho
Very unique old fashion diner. It is original inside and out. They still use the old shake sundae containers and the metal for malts. The food was fantastic. We had the crispy chicken sandwich , onion rings, tater tots, lemonade ( homemade ) yum and Oreo milk shake.
Such a cute diner! The food was VERY tasty. I tried the catfish (my first time ever trying catfish) and it was incredible! ⭐ A crunchy outside and soft melty inside. Second time recommended The tenderloin this week. This time it was very good. I you are by Plainfield it is definitely the place to stop. I enjoyed my meal of tenderloin and a side of cottage cheese. I 100% will try this place again. Right now it's one of my favorites for a quick bite.
The club sandwich is pretty damn good. Along with a butterscotch root beer. And add whipped cream if you want it to taste like a butter beer.
