With so many positive reviews, we were excited to try this pizza place.
We ordered the St. Rocco, one of their specialty pizzas. We thought it was quite pricey, but well worth it if it's was a great pizza, but sadly, we thought it was aweful. There was barely any cheese on the pizza and the crust was so soggy, when you went to pick up a piece, it just flopped over. Horrible!!! We ended up throwing it out. Maybe we just has a bad experience or a bad chef who made our pizza, but unfortunately we would not go back.

Delicious!!! So glad we decided to give them a try instead of our usual pizza. We now have a new favorite pizza spot. We had the gluten free cauliflower crust pizza and the wise guy. Both hit the spot! Also had the bruschetta and Caesar salad. Those were both better than expected. Super fresh! Lettuce not wilted and perfect amount of Caesar dressing. Often times restaurants drown the salad in dressing and it ruins it. Everyone was so friendly, including the owner. Please don't change a thing! Keep up the amazing service and delicious food. We'll spread the word and will definitely be back!

Update: their website still does not tell you anywhere that there is a $35 minimum until you complete your order and are checking out. Terrible on line experience.
I was really upset after figuring out how to order online and getting ready to pay when a message popped up that a minimum $35 to order is required for delivery. No where does it state that until the end! The delivery service is DoorDash and they state it’s the restaurants policy. I went online to another local pizza place and placed my $30 order with no issue.

The pizza here is always great, and the chicken on the wings is so tasty, the meat slides right off the bone. One thing, the buffalo sauce is really hot. It's good, but if you're not used to strong sauces I suggest it on the side. I got the St Rocco pizza, and that's what I usually get.

Really loved our experience here. Unpretentious, flavors are on point, and the staff is super cool. With it being a small place, we felt like we were buddies with the staff by the end of the meal!

Big Pauly's was recommended to us by some locals so we tried it. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. The servings were large enough to share. The restaurant was very clean and well kept from everything we could see. There was a very large group who came in after us and the staff kept up with everyone from everything we could tell. At our table we ordered the buffalo wings and bruschetta for appetizers both were very good. We ordered the St Rocco pizza and the pizza Margarita both were very good and the toppings were fresh and tasty. We had a kids pasta which was enjoyed and an Italian Beef sandwich with an added fennel sausage which was shared and plenty for 2. There was only 1 negative to the experience and that was they forgot the sausage on the made to order pizza so they brought the sausage out to be added at the table, it wasn't a big deal but I want to mention it as it did happen.

So the pizza is good above all. If you like a more "gourmet" style pizza, you'll really love Big Pauly's.
I have 3 thoughts/suggestions.
1- The service was slow. I also understand it's a Friday night and we got the last dine in table and it's wood fired pizza. It's going to take awhile.
2- there was some confusion on our order and we got a pizza not the way we ordered it. It's the first week of being open, I understand that things still have to be worked out, but our server never really apologised or took ownership of the mistake. It sounded like it was our fault the pizza was ordered wrong. I remember clearly ordering it a different way, but even after all that, there was never really any offer to make it right. I would suggest a little more training in the customer service department. The server was never rude or anything, but for the money I paid, I would expect a higher level of service.
3- This place is expensive as pizza goes. It's good pizza, don't get me wrong, just be ready for the fact that it's pricier then other local pizza restaurants on the area.
I gave it 3 stars for now.
Over all, it's good food and a pleasant atmosphere.(Although we also experienced the wind as people came & went. This was mentioned in another review) I wouldn't order it every weekend, but certainly every couple of months
