Bagel Works

Unfortunately, the bagel DOESN'T work. I came in hoping for fresh bagels for breakfast (about 8:30 am today), and they looked promising... but the swiss and bacon bagel I just had was one of the driest, most stale bagels I've ever had. Very disappointing... I guess maybe they expect people to toast the bagels, but shouldn't have to do that if they are fresh (this one must have been made days ago. It actually had the dense, dried out texture of a store-bought bagel that had been refrigerated or frozen and then thawed.) Fortunately, the croissants I got were soft and fluffy. I also ordered a "White Lightning" coffee... this is supposedly white chocolate, but didn't taste like it (tasted more like a berry flavor?) But at least it was sweet and caffeinated (and reasonably priced), and it helped me choke down the dry bagel.

Excellent bagels and house-made cream cheese. However, my experience today was far from stellar. The very tall brunette young girl working this morning was very rude for no apparent reason. Then when I finally got the bagel it was not toasted. Perhaps some more training could benefit this young girl.

I had been craving a good lox sandwich and this place delivered. Bagels are tasty as well. Only issue was that as someone who wasn't a local, their menu system didn't quite work (the only menu that fully explained what was in each dish was up at the counter, which made me feel like I was holding up the line since o had never been there before.
