Where to start? Shiloh Gastro is located up on a bluff in western Pittsburgh and is said to be haunted. The restaraunt is a semi renovated house with a patio and deck. It is a 2 story with plenty of room downstairs and a bar. Kitchen and a private room are also upstairs. To get to this hidden treasure, my friends and I took a brisk, 20 minute walk, crossed the river and took a gondola ride to the top of the bluff. Just a block or so beyond the top, we found this hidden treasure. There is a pretty diverse all American menu but I enjoyed some mushroom jerk tacos and a salad on my first night. I went back the next night and had some delicious nachos. I had the Keanu Reeves beer. Were they pulling my leg? Delicious IPA no matter what. Great and prompt service. Definitely a hidden gem and a great adventure just to get to the top with great company and service.
Came in for dinner after a long day exploring Pittsburgh. What a fantastic find. The chicken parm sandwich was delicious. Garlic chicken wings were fantastic. We will definitely be back during our next visit.
Mary was great and gave us awesome recommendations. We had the periogies in garlic parm wing sauce and the cheesesteak and fries--both were oven hot and tasted great! I had a beer Jeff had a coffee. Highly recommend as soon as you hop off the incline.
This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, Clean, great food, many special beers on tap. Most importantly the owners and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Come visit this place. You can’t afford to miss the experience of Shiloh Gastro and the incredible views from Mt. Washington.
My wife and I visited this restaurant upon the recommendation of a kind lady walking her dog nearby. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming! The owner greeted us right away which was actually very impressive. He was very nice and his staff was equally as warm and welcoming.
My wife had Mac & cheese with salmon, I had the open face meatloaf. For dessert we had a chocolate cake, but it was my wife's birthday and I had previously bought 1 candle so I asked them if they'd help me out. They brought the cake out with the candle lit and sang happy birthday to her with me. It made my wife's day for sure!
Afterwards, the owner came outside to ask us how everything was and check on us once more as we were leaving. We'd both definitely recommend this place! The food was delicious, the staff was so enthusiastic about us being there and we really enjoyed the visit.
Perfect spot to grab good grub, great drinks, welcoming service and a deck for enjoying a nice day near the grand view of Pittsburgh! Mary was an amazing server.
Shiloh Gastro is in a great location on Shiloh Street near the top of the Mon Incline. I appreciated that the menu clearly stated which options were gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan and also that these options existed on the menu. The food was delicious. The cocktails were smooth. Patio seating is a nice bonus. Also if you are interested in history, this building has some history with an early 1900s baddie.
We came with a group of 20+ and our bartender did great getting everyone taken care of. The food was delicious! We sampled a some of the Buffalo chicken and poutine taters tots along with the Mac n cheese from others in our group. DELICIOUS!!
Shiloh Gastro has their own parking which is really nice on a busy street. Can sit outside or in, atmosphere inside is unique
We stopped here in middle of long hike and shared a burger and pierogis dish. Both were good! Friendly staff and clean nice place with fun music and environment . Good outdoor seating.
