I had the most wonderful experience. I called 2 weeks prior to needing our apartments communities holiday party! From the initial phone call to the day of the party was great. They made the whole process a breeze, while keeping in touch throughout the 2 weeks! They accommodated a service for 80 people, delivered the food right when they said they would while delivering it nice and hot in food warmers. They set everything up and went over every dish with me to ensure the order was complete and correct! My residents all loved the food and encouraged me to have them cater again next year! Thanks again for the wonderful experience and keep on cooking on!
I swept in to grab some takeout gumbo for my girlfriend and I and truly enjoyed my plate. I know there's not a lot of gumbo options in the city but this was exactly what I was craving and I could have it again once a month or more. Sometime, I'd like to have a sit down experience there because the chef was very friendly with me, but the hours make it a bit rough for that. I'd recommend anyone try it and I'll be back again soon, especially as it gets colder!
I highly recommend Cafe on the corner! They catered multiple events for us and provided incredible hospitality. They took the stress out of the planning and were incredibly easy to work with. We got so many compliments on the food, especially the gumbo, chicken creole, and cornbread meal. Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell put their love into their food and service. Thank you, thank you!!

There's a reason the gumbo is their star attraction. It's delicious! The cornbread that comes with a bowl is also amazing and pairs well with the gumbo.
It was my first time trying this place I have to say the staff was very welcoming and the gumbo ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙏..Give them a try u won't be disappointed
Absolutely loved this place! I read the ratings about the gumbo so had to try it. The ratings did not disappoint. The gumbo was on point. Seasons were perfect. The amount of large shrimp cooked perfectly was a huge surprise! The owners made me feel so welcomed as soon as I walked through the door. The deserts looked so good but I didn't have any.🙄
Hope to get up that way again soon so I can try other things prepared by these great people.
Finding this place was an accident, but the food and hospitality was well worth it. You gotta try their gumbo— it was so good! They give you 16 oz and they absolutely load it with chicken, shrimp, rice and vegetables. And the cornbread was good too! I left full and satisfied. The owner was so nice. Please go here, support a local business, you will not leave disappointed.
This beautiful cafe is an absolute gem. Owner Mike served us the best ever Gumbo that one can have in Pittsburgh or in NOLA. The cornbread was light, moist and delicious (I am typically not a fan but this cornbread is a must). Will be back to tasty the other menu items.
