Pittsburgh has a BBQ boom to match the craft beer explosion so we are living in a very delicious time. I was told about this place from a trusted BBQ friend and they did not let me down. The ownership had just changed so there were a few kinks to work out but you would never know that with the food. LOVED IT! I had an order of garlic parm wings that were amazing. Hard to believed they were fried. Slight crisp and flavorful but not greasy. 1/2 slab of St Louis style ribs were meaty, perfectly cooked (unlike others I've had who cook the meat and leave it in warming pans so its a mess) and the coleslaw side was fantastic. Bartender was very pleasant and the patrons were very friendly as well. It felt like I was hanging out with friends.
Great food and great staff and great prices. I've tried a good amount of stuff on the menu and haven't been disappointed in much. Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, Smoked Brisket sandwiches are all great and come with fries for less than 9 bucks. The steak I had was great as well. I wasn't a huge fan of the burger or the portobella sandwich, but they weren't bad. I'm also a smoker so having a smoking area is great, but they also have more than a full bar's area worth of non-smoking section as well.
I find it hard to describe how good this food is..they do more than smoke/ BBQ food.and the owners are the nicest people Ive met..they have more hardware from the festivals where they've won and placed for best of Ribs, chicken, chili, sauce..all of it...
...than they have walls to put them on..
The South Hills needed a place like this for a long time...its here,...come get you some!!!
Best pulled pork in Pittsburgh, ribs are good as well! Highly recommend!
