Stopped for a pizza and a beer one Sunday night and had a fantastic experience. The pizza I received was up there with the best. Maybe some of the folks leaving negative reviews need to dine in and give this place another go.

I'm not in Sharpsburg very often, but I was craving a calzone while passing by, so why not give Gino Bros a try? After all, there aren't too many pizza shops in Sharpsburg when compared to other areas in Pittsburgh. I got their regular cheese calzone (build your own) and the Oreo cheesecake. The calzone was very good. When I first got the box, I felt a little disappointed with the portion. However, after actually eating it, the portion was okay for the price. There's definitely other places that give better bang for your buck, though. It's $13 for only 10 inches. The crust was lovely. It had a great dusting of cheese on top. Plus, I love that it was still a bit crispy when I got my order. The crunch elevated it. There was a fair amount of cheese inside. A bit heavier on the mozzarella and provolone and less ricotta than in other places. Tomato sauce was inside the calzone but didn't make it soggy. It was on the sweeter side and there wasn't too much of it. The dessert was definitely not their strength. It tasted like a very standard food service cheesecake, not a delicious, creamy homemade variety. It was oddly bland and lacked the sweetness I expected; plus its texture was a bit off too. The crust was okay, but I would recommend skipping dessert (especially since this was $6). All in all, this was a great calzone. It was a bit smaller than in most other places, but it's high quality. If you're in Sharpsburg, it's worth a try. Just order dessert from somewhere else.

This review is overdue. Have ordered both delivery and pickup as well as done done in. Everyone I have taken there has enjoyed it as well. Their pizza is great. Always consistent. Typically comes with a side of homemade ranch. There salads are always huge not just with lettuce. Ingredients are always fresh. Their buffalo chicken salad isn’t my favorite in the city, the hot sauce just isn’t for me. Might be something someone else enjoys tho! Most of the salad dressings are home made and good. Their calzones are huge and are cooked well — too often calzones are undercooked inside but not here. The wings I have tired are good. Comes very well sauced and have been consistently cooked right. Their hoagies and gyros are also good. Cooked well, fresh ingredients. The staff is always so nice whether dine in or delivery drivers. They are often so quick!

Id give this place 10 stars if i could, absolutely delicious! The crust is like a donut in texture not dense like some places. We had their signature pizza, an added banana peppers. Probably the best pizza ive ever had in my life! Thank you!

Gino's staff was extremely friendly and on point. We had to wait for a car shop for 2 hours and we enjoyed every bit of it here. Onion rings were delicious and the Gino's specialty pizza was perfect!
