Handel's Homemade Ice Cream & Yogert - Pittsburgh - Photo album

"I had a delightful visit to this ice cream shop last week, and I couldn't resist trying their chocolate ice cream. It was pure indulgence! The rich, creamy chocolate flavor was simply irresistible. The guy named Michael who served us was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The shop itself has a cha
Handel’s sells a few dozen flavors of ice creams as well as sundaes, splits, milkshakes, malts, floats, ice-cream pops, etc. The flavors of ice creams range from the common to the unique, and they seem to rotate. I appreciate that some flavors have no sugar added or are vegan. I have bought ice cre
The ice cream was really good. I liked how they had so many varieties. They also had a good selection of cones, regular and specialty. I had the graham central station and the butter pecan and they both did not disappoint. 4 bucks for a huge cone. My friend got a chocolate milkshake and was very ple
Remarkably good ice cream, had an AMAZING apple dumpling, do recommend
If you find yourself at McCandless Crossing, stop by Handel's and grab yourself a treat. Their ice cream is delicious! They also get bonus points from me for posting the calorie content of their offerings on the menu. Granted, if you're worried about calories you probably shouldn't be going out for
Delicious! Went there for the first time today and my daughter and I both got Cookie Monster (the blue ice cream that’s flavored vanilla with Oreo and cookie dough) and it was bomb!!!! Will Def be back. Oh and I added peanut butter sauce to mine bc duh!
Perfect for a Blazing hot June day! Show up before 7:00 to dodge the rush of people coming after dinner! Pictured is a Medium: 4 1/2 scoops!
A good old fashioned ice cream parlor. Nice location and staff who are efficient and who aim to please. Great ice cream to!
I loved Handel's back in my home area of northeastern Ohio (where it originated), and am very happy to see a location in the Pittsburgh area. The selection of ice cream is enormous, with many rotating and intriguing flavors, so it's a great place to take the kids as well, since they have so many fun
Since the location that I usually travel to closed I had to make a very far trip but it was so worth it! I didn’t get the young woman’s name, but since they didn’t have the flavor I wanted she was able to make it for me. She was also very generous with sampling as the other location didn’t give out
Brought 7 kids today, one of whom has a life-threatening nut allergy. The girl who waited on us took the time to review the allergen content of the ice cream he chose and cleaned the scoop with Dawn plus a sanitizing solution. Didn’t rush us even though it was busy. Really went the extra mile to do
We were truly blessed to have Handel’s cater our wedding! They brought a little taste of hometown goodness that paired perfectly with our Pittsburgh Cookie Table. I want to thank Maria and her family for being a special part of our big day.
This has always been one of my favorite ice shops and it's such a bonus that it is open year-round. Love the fall seasonal flavors, like the Deep Dish Apple Pie!
Handel's is always great for delicious ice cream and good service. Staff is friendly and we're never disappointed. Lots of flavors to choose from.
Delicious! Handle's Homemade Ice Cream will hit the spot! From basics like chocolate and vanilla to crazy flavor combinations you won't find anywhere else, your only problem will be deciding what to choose. Why not 5 stars? There's little seating, none of which is indoors, and there's no restr
The 4 sampler is such a good deal, lots of flavors to try, all the flavors I got were good.
