After considering several different places in the city to have a surprise 40th birthday party for my wife, I settled on the Foundry Table & Tap. I had been there for happy hour a few times prior, enjoyed the atmosphere, beer list, and the food, but my wife had never been there and neither had many of our guests, so I was a bit nervous about deciding to have the party there. However, my concerns were entirely without merit as the party turned out fantastically, thanks to the Foundry owners and staff who worked with me to make the event exceed my expectations. I reserved the front bar area given that I knew I would have approximately 30 people attend the party. Being in the front bar area for this number of people meant that we had appropriate seating and mingling area for both adults and children, our own bar for the entire event, and several televisions to watch the Pens playoff game later in the evening. The Foundry allowed us to decorate the space and bring in our own birthday cake. I ordered numerous items from the menu and the chef helped me to determine an appropriate amount of food to order. Because I was looking for a more casual vibe, I went with the buffet option rather than a seated dining option. On the menu we had crudite, stuffed mushrooms, arancini, strawberry salad, brisket, pork sliders, buffalo chicken sliders, pierogi mashed potatoes, and vodka penne. We also ordered several items from the kid's menu since our's and several of our friends' children attended. The food ready to go at the start of the party, it was well-presented, and delicious! I received numerous positive comments from our guests about the food (especially the brisket, the buffalo chicken sliders, and the pierogi mashed potatoes), the space itself, our great bartender and the cocktails that the Foundry offers (the Whippet is a must-try), and just the overall inviting and fun atmosphere that the Foundry provided. My wife absolutely loved it and I couldn't be happier with the effort shown by the Foundry, from its owners to its staff, to help make my wife's birthday party special! If you're looking for an inviting atmosphere in an an area of the city with great views of Downtown, many other bars within walking distance, ample parking, great food, a varied and impressive beer list, and attentive people to help you plan your event, the Foundry Table & Tap is your place.

We stop at The Foundry before every Steeler home game. Great place to get a couple beers before heading into the stadium and paying their high prices. The appetizers are always plentiful and tasty. Such a beautiful view of the river from the back patio where we have grabbed a sausage sandwich from the grill. Someone in our group always gets the burger and has never been disappointed. Beautiful restaurant. I would recommend it to anyone.

We had our wedding (ceremony + reception) at The Foundry, and we would absolutely recommend it for events! We had about 100 people, so we had to split seating between the event room and the bar, which was no problem and actually fun for our vibe - a little less traditional, cozy, and encouraging people to move around and mingle. We also had access to a portion of the patio that led to the river walk, which was perfect to step out for air. It was a beautiful space for a more relaxed fall wedding. The staff was WONDERFUL - everyone was so sweet and was really on top of things! We thought staff would just keep the buffet full and work at the bar, but they also went around checking with everyone for drinks, including guests that went outside to the patio area. We were so impressed! Several guests have said this was the best wedding food they've ever had. Rachel, the venue coordinator, was very easy to work with and flexible with our questions and ideas. Sometimes, it takes her a little bit to respond to emails, but she's very thorough if you're patient. She also made an amazing floor layout. We do recommend having an event/day of coordinator on your end or someone to help with your setup, because you won't have access to the space until a few hours before your event, which was not an issue for us but is something to consider when booking. We were thrilled with everything The Foundry did and have already recommended them to others for their events!

Great place for breakfast before a Steelers game. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with the waffle. The French toast was tasty. We had the cauliflower with both seasonings on the side, and it was tasty too. We would definitely visit again.

Food, drinks, vibes— this place is a 10/10!! We sat outside for brunch and enjoyed some appetizers and they were incredible! We got the Brussels sprouts, pork belly, and fruit and we cleaned our plates! For our entrees we got chicken and waffles, biscuit and sausage gravy with eggs, kids chicken tenders and fries, chicken sandwich and a salad. All were absolutely amazing! Fries and potato wedges were even phenomenal. We sat outside, they could definitely use an awning or more shade because it was HOT, but there was inside seating! Waitresses were great! We will definitely be back!

My fiance and I just planned a wedding shower with about 75 guests at The Foundry and I cannot say enough good things about Rachel (the events manager) and the rest of the staff. Rachel was extremely accommodating and attentive to all of my needs via email and completely handled the delivery of a champagne wall rental we had for the shower with that vendor without me needing to be involved at all. She was also attentive to me throughout the event, ensuring I had everything I needed and that everything was running smoothly and my expectations were being met. We received so many compliments on all of the food we had for our guests, especially the prime rib carving station and buffalo chicken sliders. Our guests were also extremely impressed with the event room we used and the attentiveness of the staff! Waitstaff was extremely attentive taking our drink orders and bringing them into the cocktail-style event where everyone was up and moving around. I would recommend anyone have an event here!!

The Foundry Tap and Table was a fair dining experience. The atmosphere was not particularly lively on the Sunday when I visited. The ambient music was bad. My Pittsburgh salad was interesting, but the large pieces of lettuce made it clunky to eat. I did enjoy that the fries were cut in a variety of sizes which provided multiple textures, some crunchy, some buttery.

Nice atmosphere once you get to the main part of the restaurant. Good drinks and I thought my salad was great. However for the price I paid for the steak frites, I think it could have at least been plated nicer, and it was nothing special.

Cool place for a small wedding ceremony and reception! The Foundry has a semi-private room in the back that can accommodate around 50 people. I had such a great time photographing a wedding here - and you have direct access to the Rivewalk on the North Shore right through the glass doors in the back of the room so finding beautiful photo spots right in the heart of downtown is so easy! I appreciated that once I found parking for the day I didn't have to move to get to beautiful photo locations - everything is right there for you! We got some great shots of the yellow bridges and the Gateway clipper with the Point in the background, and there were even plenty of picturesque places with cover overhead when it rained. The banquet room is accessed by a walk through the restaurant, but with the heavy sliding barn doors to seal it off once you're in there, we were able to have a DJ and play music without disturbing the restaurant guests and visa versa. Great venue for a unique wedding!

We recently got married here in the private room with 50 of our friends and family. The space was amazing, the food was great, and the team here is AMAZING. Anyone looking for a smaller space for a wedding or an event i can’t recommend this place more!!

I came here for my works end of the year celebration. The ambience inside was super chilled and relaxed with the bartenders very nice and poured my wine with passion! We ended up having appetizers for the food which were amazing. We had coconut shrimp, vegetable egg rolls, salad, fruit and vegetables which I loved. Their home made sauces were extremely tasteful. I will have to visit once again and try their main courses.

Recommend reserving a table. Food portion sizes were great! Food was delicious. Casual or dressy atmosphere depending on the occasion. Prices were good and you get a lot of food for the money. Best fried pickles I have had. Pork Belly app was good too! Had Lamb chops and NY strip. Food is locally sourced which is always nice! Not a chain restaurant.
