Great Asian spot in Shadyside. Good sushi and lots of choices, plus a plethora of other hot food items. Some of the faves from our visit were the vegetable gyoza, shrimp fried rice and yuzu tornado roll. We also shared some sake which was lovely. Service is prompt.
The restaurant is so cool inside. Even better, the portion sizes are huge. The prices are great considering how much you get.
It is really high quality and the staff is all very helpful and nice.
Delicious sushi. Kindest people. Parking can be a little rough but other than that everything is wonderful!! We picked ours up to go!
Decent restaurant. Pretty good rolls and sushi. Great price for it all. The service was excellent. I was disappointed because it was listed as having a sushi bar (part of my reason for choosing this place) and I could see where there used to be one, but it had been dismantled.
Review is for pick up via Uber Eats.
Food travelled surprisingly well in 25F Pittsburgh weather. Portions are extremely generous and the miso soup was still hot after walking ~15 minutes. We ordered the JD1 Japanese Beef Curry Don, the JD2 Japanese Curry Katsu Don, and thought that might not be enough so we also had the Y2 Fish Yumich. Ended up not touching the Yumich at all (which is kind of like a taco, but wrapped in seaweed) since the portions were so generous on the Don dishes. The curry was a great balance of spice and intensity. The beef was tender. The Katsu was just crispy enough. There were tons of vegetables underneath the meat and curry to mix with rice. Overall, phenomenal value for quality Japanese dishes. ($35 total these dishes + ginger dressing)
What an awesome little gem in the Shadyside community of Pittsburgh! From the drink offerings (craft Soju!) to the food (all of the sushi rolls are great--as are the fried delights like fried shrimp spring rolls), Sushi Too excels. The service is fast and very friendly, too.
Cannot recommend Sushi Too enough if you enjoy well-prepared and delicious fare like this.
They have great sushi some of the best in town. Would typically always get a spider roll and a shrimp tempura Maki roll and then some other raw fish roll like tuna. They're white ginger dressing is the best around
A great sushi place on walnut with lots of personality and every type of sushi you could want. They are very patient with you and the service is always great. The food was phenomenal with the pink lady roll being my current favorite
Sushi Too is an exceptional restaurant that never fails to impress. Their Rainbow Rolls are simply amazing - bursting with fresh flavors and beautifully presented. Every bite is a treat for the senses!
I recently ordered takeout from Sushi Too and was blown away by the quality of the food. The sushi was expertly prepared and tasted incredibly fresh. The takeout process was seamless and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
If you're looking for great takeout food, look no further than Sushi Too. Their menu has something for everyone, but I highly recommend trying the Rainbow Rolls - they're a true standout. I can't wait to order from Sushi Too again soon!
Got my meal through grubhub. I chose them based on their popularity and positive reviews and they did not disappoint. My sushi was packaged fantastically, perfect portions and very tasty. Will order again and eventually visit the restaurant!
The sushi was fresh & delicious. The service was friendly and good. They give you a nice big bottle of water, which was nice on a hot day. They have bubble tea if you like that and will serve them without the bubbles if you’re not a bubble tea fan. It’s very out of the way, so I doubt we’ll return, but we recommend it.
Really enjoyed the food, drinks, and service. It was nice to sit outside and not feel neglected. Shared a roll, poke bowl, and tempura avocado, all of which were delicious. More restaurants should serve the tempura avocado - it's so good. I also loved the Tokyo colada with Melon flavors. We have added it to our "go to" list.
Loved this place! Sushi was so good & our server was very attentive! Will be returning.
The food was good and the service was spot on. The sushi roll I got a a bit small but it was good. I think that they’re specially rolls are the larger ones. The gyoza was crispy and light. The miso was flavorful. What I really enjoyed was that they gave you a whole pot of tea to keep at the table! The perfect place to go to on a rainy day.
This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff is friendly. And the food is so so so good. The vegetable spring roll, even in it's simplicity, was amazing especially with the sauce that came with it on the side. And I can see why the Pittsburgh roll is a classic!
This place is seriously so wonderful. The people are amazingly warm and friendly, the food is all to die for.
I love the tempura rolls, and honestly, the sushi is great but it's not the most amazing dish. I think it's because I've had great sushi from many places, but the fried rice here is unrivaled. The fried foods in general, such as the spring rolls and scallion pancakes, are wonderful. They must use very fresh oil. The boba tea is splendid.
I am a mushroom lover, so I really love a lot of dishes here that others might find subpar. The spring rolls and miso soup are a good example of this. The soup has a distinct mushroom flavor. For me, this is the best miso soup I've had in my life.
Whatever you enjoy, this place is fantastic.
The food here is good while the service is terrific, flexible, and helpful. After just one visit, I felt like a regular. While there are tastier places for sushi, this place is a good, convenient restaurant to visit while on Walnut Street.
