Cavatelli is a pasta that was originated in my grandfather's region of basilicata, italy. A small doughy little noodle "shaped like a little canoe". This is one of my mother's own recipes, and it is a little bit spicy. Tender chunks of chicken breast are prepared in a light tomato sauce with virgin olive oil, sautéed red pepper seed, garlic, and onion. This special sauce covers a steaming dish of cavatelli; topped with red and green bell peppers and onions.
