Big Dog Coffee - Pittsburgh - Photo album

Cozy spot for a decent cup of coffee. I was really impressed with the comfort and the seating. It was a perfect spot to have a good conversation with a friend. The yogurt bar was also a nice plus. Although rather expensive, $8 for a yogurt bowl, you could pick any toppings you want, and all topping
This has to be one of the most consistent shops in Pittsburgh when it comes to espresso drinks. I’ve been visiting Big Dog for years now and it’s always a great experience with tasty espresso. Outdoor seating is one of my favorites along with the gas-lit fireplace in the fall/winter. One of the cozi
Such a cute cafe!! Love that there is outside seating. Went one early morning, and had a nice cappuccino and oatmeal combo. Their oatmeal bag is so neat and customizable. Lots of options and the pastries were also very good. The pb cookie was soft and had a nice nuttiness too it. The people working
Big Dog is one of our go to spots for post-run coffees! Those caramel and seasonal lattes are just perfect. The owner is incredibly kind, and the whole vibe with the eclectic decor and artwork is my kind of cozy. Bonus points for letting in cute dogs to pet! Whenever I've got the time, sipping my l
Nice interior with a spacious layout. The backyard is also a nice place to have a drink if it isn’t too cold or too hot out. Music wasn’t too loud inside, and the latte was solid, pretty large in size too. Good place to spend the day doing work.
Amazing little coffee shop! Plenty of different styles of seating, and a pet friendly patio!! The gentleman made an amazing tea latte, and cute coffee with art! Their food was also amazing! The raspberry turnover is amazing! I'd recommend stopping here!
Best run coffee shop in the city. The owner is present almost every day and the baristas always put out top-notch espresso beverages that are still cheaper than most options in the area. Moving a mile further from Big Dog is one of my biggest regrets in life.
Great coffee and delicious homemade yogurt cup. I tried different coffees here. The Guatemala drip coffee is my favorite. The cappuccino is too mellow for my taste. The baristas are skilled and most of them are so friendly and nice. The place is quaint and cozy. I love it there :)
I first started coming here almost 10 years ago when I was a college student in Pittsburgh and it's still the yard stick to which I measure coffee shops. I just visited the city and I'm so glad to see it still going! The coffee here is why I have a good taste for coffee, the food is great, the sea
Big Dog was everything I wanted in a coffee shop. The venue was spacious but not so much so that it invited a crowd, and had a mix of appealing artwork indoors and a green and cloistered outdoor patio that should suit many coffeehouse-goers. I had a seasonal daily mix that was served in a generous c
Are you in search of a welcoming establishment for the enjoyment of exquisite espresso? If so, Big Dog Coffee is the ideal choice. They employ a 58mm portafilter to guarantee the quality of your espresso. I had the pleasure of sampling their croissant, which proved to be not only warm and delightful
Just had the Big Dog Daily Cold brew and it is DELICIOUS. Very balanced taste, no bitterness and very crisp. The owner also seem to be very engaged with all customers, knew the regular and created a very homely atmosphere.
Came here with a small group of cyclists after a ride. The atmosphere was cozy and quaint. The coffee is served in huge cups and was rich and tasty. I had the pumpkin bread that was moist and delicious. A few people relaxing with their coffees and college students in the back quietly working on thei
The baristas are kind and professional, and their French press coffees are always spectacular- pair it with a pastry or some oatmeal and choose a cozy spot to work/study/chat, and you're in for a great experience!
Friendly staff, fun decor, and vast selection of pastries and drinks. The morrocan mint green tea and matcha are my favorites. The patio is lovely and has a vibe that you don’t often experience in Pittsburgh.
All great (service & atmosphere), but regular (Black Cat Classic) espresso not balanced coffee blend - very high acidity. It means roaster master not enough qualification. Arabica blend balancing - it's really art. And of course, a glass of water, along with espresso, is taken from the tap. What's m
