Homemade mango ice cream, need I say anything more? This place is absolutely the best! If you like Thai food, you’ll never find better, and I’ve been to Thailand! Lol. Over the past 12 years, I’ve probably had just about everything on the menu at least twice. My recommendation, the Penang curry, with either beef, pork, or chicken, and don’t forget dessert.
Have been going here for years. It's my favorite Thai restaurant in the Pittsburgh area. I used to live and work nearby so this was a regular stop. Now in the area today and had to stop in. It's so good, still, nothing has changed. I have never had bad service in all my years of coming here. Panang curry is off the hook and today a new fave: deep fried mango ice cream!! Our server was the best!!
Great service, our server was very nice, and quite generous. The food was exceptional. We will definitely be back!
Friendliest folks and the best food. Their spare ribs and pad Thai are my favorite.
Had the padang infused pad thai. Excellent service!
Went with a group and tried several dishes- everything was fabulous! Service was terrific! Great experience! Can’t wait to go back!
Can’t wait to come back! Our new favorite spot!

Angkor is consistently delicious!! One of our favorite restaurants. Service is excellent as well. Thank you, Angkor!
Great variety of food selections. Great service. We always have left overs.
The food is very flavorful and reasonably priced. The decor and friendly staff makes this a favorite place to take out of town guests.
My favorite thai place in the whole city, you won't be disappointed with any dish
Everything on the menu is excellent! My husband and I live in Erie, PA. We try to stop here every time we travel through Pittsburgh. Highly recommend the Na Taings, Spring Rolls, Angkor Salad, Saramon, and Pad Thai.. The staff is also very friendly and accommodating! Love, love.. :)
excellent food . Order the calamari here all the time
Have always had great service and food. Their fresh shrimp spring rolls are a goto appetizer.
ALWAYS fresh ingredients.
Great staff & very clean environment!
Tasty, vibes, ambience, and chill. Place was fire, you can't really go wrong with the food selection, ask for a recommendation based on your tastes and the waiter. We got a bunch of stuff and every single one was an absolute banger. The inside is filled with traditional art, the tables the chairs everything feels unique and contributes to the restaurant. GET THE ICE TEA, their ice tea is DELICIOUS. 100% will be coming here again.
Passing through the area and was craving Thai/Cambodian food. This little hole in the wall certainly hit the spot. Spring rolls were recommended by the waiter and while I could tell the veggies and the wrap were fresh, the chicken was a little dry. Nonetheless the sauce was sweet and paired well with the dish.
Green curry is a dish I try at every thai restaurant I can. Angkor does it well and fills it with many veggies (green beans, potatoes, onions, carrots, celery, peppers, bamboo). No complaints of the chicken in this dish and I would order it again. I enjoyed the texture and spice level (3 peppers on the menu, nothing crazy spicy). Contrary to some restaurants nowadays, a generous amount of white rice was included with the curry. Would definitely come back and try some of the other traditional dishes.
We had a good experience everything was good just a bit more sweeter side to my taste. But with steam rice it balanced it well until our belly gets full. Then the tea was great to help wash down the oils and sweetness of the food.
While visiting Pittsburgh on a chilly, rainy evening, we were looking for a warm and hearty meal to "hit the spot." We read the overwhelmingly positive reviews for Angkor, a traditional Cambodian/Thai restaurant, so we were convinced to check it out.
We were met at the door by an energetic and friendly young gentlemen. There were 3 groups already seated at tables and people kept on trickling in throughout the evening which indicated to us that this was quite a popular place among locals. Service was a bit slow but we figured this more than acceptable given the delicious food that followed.
For starters, we ordered the Na-taings, which are Cambodian deep fried puff rice squares which have more than enough surface area to pile on the curried pork concoction that came with the appetizer.
Although we were tempted to order the Thai options on the menu, we opted to share a Cambodian dish called Saramann, which is slow cooked beef in a coconut, peanut and lemon grass curry. We were asked about our heat level preference and chose a 7 on a 10 point scale. The succulent beef cubes were so tender and the curry was flavourful, had a rich, earthy, peanut taste and was exactly the right spice we were looking for to warm up from outside and have our mouths breathing fire like dragons. Of course, we got exactly what we asked for and enjoyed every minute of the heat. We got an order of the Thai red ice tea to cool off our mouths. It was absolutely delicious and apparently a bit sweeter than the green Thai ice tea option.
We'd highly recommend trying Angkor if you're looking for something unique, traditional, flavourful and spicy. If the Cambodian food is any indication of how the Thai food is, you'll surely be in for a treat if you choose either.
The waiter was super kind and the food was delicious! We had an early dinner so it was empty when we arrived but by the time we left, the place was filling up. The decor of the restaurant was probably my favorite thing about it; I wish I had taken pictures of it. Absolutely gorgeous. I would eat here again! Special thanks to the waiter for allowing me to catch up with friends for far longer than we should’ve stayed after we finished eating!
Got the red curry noodles. Great flavor sweet salty and spicy. Beautifully decorated restaurant. Ask for the hot sauce. It’s very spicy and very delicious!
Very good food. Get the short ribs, they were delicious. The pad thai was really good.
Omar, was our server. He had great suggestions for what to get. Will definitely go back.
This place doesn’t have much curb appeal or aesthetic BUT it sure does have the best thai cuisine i’ve ever had. I’ve lived near here for years and finally decided to try and I have been missing out. Such a large menu with different options. the food is so flavorful and fresh. I’m a huge thai iced tea fan and never had the option to try a green thai iced tea until I came here. My boyfriend loves spice and nowhere ever satisfies his spice craving like they have. I will be a regular from now on!!
Traveling for work and this was one of the only non-chain restaurants close to my hotel. Exceeded expectations! I got the green curry and the tofu triangle appetizer and both were fabulous. Absolutely delicious. Wish my work trip was longer so I could go back. Takeout portions were enough for two meals!
Loved the thai food here! The curry noodles were delicious and the quantities were great. The curries are overly sweet for some dishes, but I didn't really mind it since I enjoy a good sweet curry. I would just skip the appetizers next time since the amount they serve is quite less for the price.
The BEST General Tso’s chicken!!! Im from NJ and had this for the first time 6 years ago and came back for lunch AND dinner as we passed through Pittsburgh. I’ve loved every dish I’ve tried so far, especially their curry and beef dishes. Also the owner is super nice and even gave us a free Thai green tea!! Overall the food and service are exceptional, definitely one of my favorite restaurants!!
The food was delicious I can't believe it took us so long to try this place. It's definitely a hidden gem. The ingredients were super fresh and the staff was very friendly. We will be going back.
They screwed up our order and Grubhub delivered someone else's food. The owner (?) personally drove to our house to bring us our order, apologized, and let us keep the extra food. And most importantly, it was worth the wait. Everything was soooo good and now we have leftovers for days :)
Looking forward to trying the dine-in experience!
The restaurant sign and Google listing said they opened at 11:30 am today (Saturday), but we waited till 11:40 and the place was still dark with no one around. We drove by 20 minutes later on our way to eat in downtown Pittsburgh, and we saw they were opened. We gave it a try. The food was presented well, tasted fine and service was good. The flavor was not as rich as I had hoped, but this was only my second time having Cambodian food so perhaps as it should be.
Awesome!! Everything was so flavorful and fresh. We were there for lunch and now can't wait to go back for dinner.
I ordered takeout tonight and the food was amazing! The Panang curry was perfectly warming. A nice compliment to the chilly October weather. The service was equally warm and friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to order again.
We were in Pittsburgh to visit our friends, and decided to stop by this place for a quick lunch based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The ambience is great, restaurant is clean, staffs are cordial, and the food is good. We ordered thai fried rice, Phad thai, and mango sweet rice. I loved the mango sweet rice. Price is reasonable.
So good! Very filling! The Saraman was amazing! Fantastic flavours and the presentation of the different dishes was a delight! My girls liked seeing and playing with the carrot flowers. The house staff were attentive and courteous. 10/10 would come here again!
Update 02/04/23: The food was once again delicious. But I was a little disappointed by the service. I was incredibly thirsty most of the service, waiting for a server to get a water refill or to pay the bill. I don't mind a server who backs off as long as they check in to see if anyone needs water refills on the occasion.
