Great tasting meat. I was in heaven, the lamb chops are shut your mouth good. The sirloin was better than the filet. The meat just keeps coming. The bacon wrapped jalapeño very good. The banana foster dessert is pretty good to. Worth the money FoodFather Approved!!
We finally tried it (after having been to Green Forest years ago), knowing it would be a TON of food. We both like the decor and location much better than Green Forest. Texas de Brazil seemed to have a more varied meat selection, but sadly they do not do the cinnamon grilled pineapple (my favorite dish that went around Green Forest). The service was amazing and the food was delicious! A couple things we got later were a bit overcooked, but the first round was all perfectly prepared, too.
TONS of food, so we definitely can't go to restaurants like this often, but the food was worth the unhappy stomach.
The bar was nice, too. Great happy hour specials were surprising and the service there was great, too. Amanda was wonderful. Sadly, I don't remember our waitress' name. I only remember Amanda's, since a friend of ours who's a bartender is also named Amanda. Ha ha ha...
Love this place! They bring you a big cart full of meats to choose from. It's hard not to leave this place stuffed. Best mashed potatoes I've ever had. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Absolutely spectacular
We thought this place was great! Meat lovers dream. Very nice decor, clean, very attention wait staff and meat servers. Would defiantly come back. Filet wrapped in bacon.... need I saw more!
Great food and service! The hostess was very polite and even address me last name when I walked there the door, I was very surprised being it was my first time there! I will be a regular here for sure!
This is an excellent churrascaria! My husband is Brazilian, so we have been to a number of Brazilian steakhouses. This one at Station Square is top notch. We had a wide variety of meats offered to us throughout our time there, and the best options (filet and picanha) came around frequently. The meat was seasoned perfectly (it's supposed to be salty) and cooked just right (medium to medium-rare with a crispy outside); Brazilian meat is not supposed to be bland and cooked well-done!! The service was quick & attentive, and we never had to ask for anything that was lacking or low. We were constantly supplied with pao de quijo (cheesy bread) and fried bananas. The salad bar was also just as it should be - a variety of cold veggies, salad, cold cuts, and cheeses. My husband was thrilled to see the hearts of palm on there! We had the house Merlot & it was a great palate-cleanser.
We went here for our anniversary & will definitely be returning!
One of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. The salad bar area is always amazing and everything is so fresh. The meat does not get any better then this. Some say it's a little salty but it's really not. Definitely a place to try atleast once... or ten times!
$45 for dinner? Worth it. Every piece of meat here is the best in it's class. The filet was spectacular, but my favorite was their lamb. Everything was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The salad bar and sides they give out are also incredibly delicious. It will definitely leave you feeling extremely full but also extremely satisfied.
Went with a friend from Brazil who said that it was very authentic. It's also very expensive. The buffet is good although I'm not typically into quantity over quality. Much better than evergreen in monroeville.
Be prepared for meat sweats! My only complaint is that sometimes the back of the house is a little heavy handed with the seasonings leaving the meat far too salty. Overall, I've never had a bad experience here. Is it as good as a traditional churrascuria? Eh.... It's no Churrascuria Plataforma, but it certainly is fun and hits the spot.
Amazing food and cheery service. Not at all traditional dining but once you see how it works it's great. Higher prices but great quality food.
Good and service were fantastic. Ate at 530 on a Friday night. Not sure how or why any bad reviews. Will definitely be back.
Outstanding meal. We went as part of Pittsburgh Restaurant Week and we loved it! For those who don't know how it works, you help yourself to all-you-can-eat salad/side bar with desserts. Then waiters bring around different all-you-can-eat meats (sirloin, filet, chicken, lamb, sausage, etc) fresh off the spit and serve you slices of meat right at your table. The salad/side bar was far from your typical salad bar. In fact, there weren't many salad toppings. And that was perfectly fine because with the dozens of amazing side dishes (au gratin potatoes, lobster bisque, couscous, artisan meats/cheeses, etc) you weren't very interested in filling up on lettuce! The meats were amazing. I don't know why people were complaining of too much salt - First off, nothing tasted too salty in the first place. Second, even if someone felt it was too salty the waiters let you know that you can get a low/no salt option. And, finally, the bananas foster cake I got for dessert was heavenly! Also, other people complained about it being busy or slow service - we were there on a packed Saturday during restaurant week and had no problems with overcrowding or bad service.
Overall, my boyfriend and I agreed this might be our new favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh! We can't wait to go back.
Like it, but more expensive than its Manhattan sibling. While this chain restaurant is a good addition to Pittsburgh, the price is a bit steep. A "full meal" (i.e. with meat, costs $45 approx) and a "Light meal" (i.e. only the salad bar, is about $25).
We went on a Sunday evening, when the place was reasonably full without being overcrowded. We were seated promptly and contrary to several reviewers, had no problems with service. In fact, I would have to compliment several meat servers, but one Sean in particular.
The meats, it is true, were a tad too salted for American palates, but hey, that is what Brazilian cooking is like. To those who were complaining about the salt and screaming about hypertension--for goodness sakes, don't stuff yourself silly with the meat. I have to say that all in our party thought that the meats were excellent. And for those complaining about the lack of variety of meats, there were 17 different meats brought to our table, including prime rib. I didn't like the fact that you had to ask for prime rib, but they did bring all those different meats. The only meat I didn't like was the chicken wrapped in bacon--it was completely dry. There were some other cuts that were chewy, but overall, they were quite good.
The salad bar was far too huge for me to sample in its entirety. I will say though that the lobster bisque was far too creamy and the smoked salmon dry. There were other excellent cuts of cold meats, plus a variety of cheeses. My personal favorite though was rice and black beans.
Lastly, I will say this that I won't be returning there for several weeks, just because $45 excluding the desserts is a bit too steep. Even in Manhattan, they only charge $39. They seriously need to re-think their price, otherwise their repeat business is likely to be very limited.
Great Place. Great place, food and service was good. The only drawback was the lack of craft beer choices. Desert was also very good. No need to show up if you don't like meat
I went with a group of 12 and we had a great time. Great atmosphere and buzzing energy. Spacey and well decorated. Great attentive service and of course wonderful food. The salad bar was diverse and delicious and the meats were yummy. A great addition to Pgh.

The Real Deal !. Finally a genuine Brazilian Restaurant.... with amazing food and service. This venue is a bit smaller than the Brazilian Restaurants that I have been to in San Antonio and Cincinnati but what it lacks in size it makes up for in excellence.
The waitstaff was attentive without being annoying. Our waiter Eddie gets my vote for Employee of the Month ! The gauchos serving the meat were also excellent. They catered to your requests and the meat served was well seasoned and had great flavor. Chef Dan was out from the kitchen and stopped by. He was making suggestions of what to pair from the cold foods with the various meats. The chimichurri and pineapple really popped with flavor. I never would have thought to combine the two. Thanks Chef Dan !
The cold foods were quite good and plentiful. I particularly liked the spiced shrimp and a parsley couscous salad. Lobster Bisque was just delicious !
I have been to the other Brazilian restaurant in Penn Hills... I would rather go to Golden Corral after a 3 day power failure than go back there. There is no comparison between these two restaurants.
Make a reservation ! You won't be disappointed. Welcome to Pittsburgh - Texas de Brazil. We will be back !!!
Great Addition to PGH. We've been to Texas de Brazil's all over the country, and we are excited to have one move into our backyard. They renovated the oversized Bar Louie in Station Square into one of the best decorated Texas de Brazil's we've been in. The service was way overdone, almost obnoxious, due to it being opening week when we were there. Hopefully they've calmed down a bit. Seriously, the manager checked on us over 4 times. The food and servers were superb. They brought in servers from the Columbus location to get the restaurant started, hopefully the PGH servers will be just as great. The meats are fantastic and if its not cooked to your liking they will come back with your preferance. We will be back many more times.
I have never been to one of these steakhouses before and had no idea what to suspect. As a fair warning, it is $50 all you can eat salad and meet buffet. Salad, soups, rice, and other items are found in the primary buffet. The meat is cooked well rare and comes around the table. Simply flip the coaster green for more or red to stop. Fantastic customer service. The night scene is amazing here.
Texas de Brazil is an amazing Brazilian steakhouse with this location being in Station Square, Pittsburgh. The food was over the top with the salad bar and meat options both being fantastic. Sean our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is also great with there being nice decoration and a full service bar! Visit Brazil…in America!
Texas de Brazil brings the love of Brazilian cuisine right to Pittsburgh’s own Station Square! An upscale eatery featuring all you can eat meat that is carved table side along with the most amazing salad bar!
You are given a stop/go disc when you are seated. Much like traffic light, each side shows red or green. Chefs walk around with different types of meat and if your table disc is flipped to green, your table is visited and meat is offered. Disc on red? They will pass you for the time being.
The salad bar area, Chef-crafted offers homemade crostini, cheeses, meats, olives and so much more! I could go up for so many helpings of just the bar alone! Hot items also offered! Not a meat eater? Just purchase the salad bar and nibble (or in my case scarf down) all the goodness! All-you-can-eat guarantees no leaving hungry! Even the kids love it!
We visited to celebrate 3 birthdays and the location choice was not even debated. This has become one of our favorite places!
The atmosphere is so fun and really does give off a Brazilian vibe with tropical flowers and bamboo art.
This restaurant adds to the always fun vibe of Station Square and is a must on your next visit!
I love this restaurant!!
Amazing food and service. The Manchego cheese was fantastic; as well as all the different meats, salad bar, jasmine rice, etc... excellent all the way around.
Lovely restaurant. Salad bar is wonderful. Always nice and fresh. I only eat the beef rib and the meat is very tender, juicy and moist. I ordered the chocolate mousse cake and let me tell you it is so delicious. I need some MILK!!! It's so good. I'm not one to eat out much or eat fancy tasting desserts but this dessert it's like the best I've had in my life and I'm 54. Very decadent.
My wife and I have been here twice. It is the most money I have ever spent on a meal, but it is by far my favorite food. The meat is very good quality, and it is all you can eat. The staff is very friendly, and you do get what you pay for. An all you can eat buffet with meat of this caliber can't be cheap. Very impressed. My wife and I usually go here at least once a year.
Hello!
I am writing in to express my gratitude for the amazing service we received! We dined in to celebrate my mothers birthday and it was beyond my expectations! Our server Alicia was top notch and on her a game! She was so quick and fast with refills, clean plates, and to answer any questions. She also had an amazing and bubbly personality! I will never ask for any other server! Next, the manager Todd was a one of a kind! Most corporate managers are the same cookie cutter image, but not him. He was so personal and down to earth! He was so factual about all the different meats and the stories behind the traditions in Brazil. He also wasn’t just standing around, but was helping his staff! I saw him helping bus tables, cash out checks,or whatever he could do to help his staff! This is extremely rare in the corporate world & was a much needed change of pace! Lastly, I just want to thank the gauchos! They had a wonderful selection constantly being rotated! We didn’t have to wait long! We got to try almost every meat you offer! It was incredible! I think y’all have some of the best lamb chops in all of Pittsburgh! Thank you all for everything and making her birthday special!

It is a large restaurant and a beautiful place to celebrate. The food was very good, the meats were excellent and the buffet had a good choice of sides. They also brought garlic mash potatoes, cheesy bread, and fried plantains for us to share at the table. The desert wasn't included, but the Brazilian cheese cake is worth the extra expense.
The food was so good. They had a really nice salad bar to try all kinds of different foods. The meat portion was incredible. If you go away hungry then I guess you are too picky of an eater. The lobster Bisque was too die for it could have been my whole meal and I would have been happy. The lamb chops had some seasoned to perfection. It was unlike anything else that I have ever tasted. A definite must try.
Our overall experience was good. I have ate here a handful of times. The salad bar area has a lot to choose from. I try not to fill up from there and save room for all of the delicious meats. The guys delivering the meats were on point. They were continously going around and stopping at our table. Now I have been here other times and it was like they just kept skipping us. Our waitress was the downfall of our time here. We were seated and waited 15 min. For her to come over to tell us she would bring us water. 5 minutes later she came back with water and left again. Then came back 10 minutes later, so by this time we had been there 45min. to take any other drink orders and to tell us we could go to the salad bar. We did not get our sides for a while either. Now she improved a bit after that for the rest of the time we were there.
This was my first time here and we came to take part in the restaurant week in Pittsburgh. We made reservations and arrived on time. Our Host was very nice and informative. Our waitress went above and beyond! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and meats being served and explained to us how the process of the flip cards worked. We never had to ask or wait for a refill! The food was great! They have plenty of options for even the pickiest of eaters.
I do plan on visiting again.
Wanted to take the kids somewhere they had never been. The atmosphere was great and our server was very nice and knowledgeable. The start was really good, but the the meat was not making its rounds very quickly. We had 3.2 choices in a 30 min span. The 3.2 is because they brought 3 super small fillet mignon wrapped pieces one of the 4 times. The waitress did get the meat guys over after that. Then she was placed with a table of 15 and we didn’t see her after that. It was okay, but not worth the $63.33 a person (with 12% tip).
Took my bf yesterday for surprise birthday dinner. First visit for both of us. Free cake on your birthday. I was not able to make an online reservation so I called and left the message and I got a return phone call back the next day. We arrived on time and were promptly seated at 5:15. Only a few tables in the restaurant were filled. Our server asked if we had ever been there before and because we hadn't she explained the process. As I read in a previous review, as amazing as everything on the self serve bar looks, don't fill up on it as you will not have room for the many types of beef chicken and pork they bring to the table. Some of the things on the self-serve bar were different cheeses, smoked salmon, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh bacon bits to name a few. I think we were there an hour and 45 minutes so allow yourself time. The service was excellent as was the food. The only drawback was the heating system was broke so you might want to check that out if you go in the next few days. Had we known we would have worn coats. We parked across the street in the parking garage. After 6:00, I was told parking in the city of Pittsburgh is free. Since we arrived at 5:00 we ended up paying $5 in the parking garage. Definitely plan on going back definitely go hungry.
This past Saturday I went to this establishment for a friends birthday. This wasn’t my first time but for some of the people in the group it was. The food was amazing as always! Our waitress was Hunter and at first she was kind and personable. It neared the end of our meal when she began to show us the desserts. We had a large party of almost 20 people so when she stood at one end the table it wild he hard to hear her. One of the children asked her what a specific cake was and that’s when Hunter became visibly upset. She was not happy to have to repeat what a cake was and began to be rude anytime she spoke to us. She ignored our table after we called her over by name multiple times. Refused to bring us boxes until after the 5th time we asked and was very upset that 2 members of our group gave her cash and left afterwards, leaving the change for her. Once we were leaving she also decided to let us know that we all could go F ourselves. I’m not sure why she was so upset with us when at the beginning of the dinner she joked with us and talked and was nice. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had simply because of the waitress and I have heard many things about her being rude towards customers before but never experienced it myself and I wish I never had. Another member of our party did vocalize to us that he has had her as a waitress before and she’s like that most days. If she doesn’t want to work with people then she shouldn’t work in this line of work.
