Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store

We went exploring Pittsboro this weekend & kicked it off with lunch. The atmosphere was very cool - a converted garage with indoor & outdoor seating - nice & bright by the front windows. The food was great & the prices were really reasonable...we had fried pimento cheese balls to start, burgers, beers, & a Nutella bread pudding....yummy! Really big portions but soooo good. Local beers too. They have lots of events happening in the evening...looks like a fun place. Highly recommend it!

Living close to Roadhouse we have gone on and off since they opened - and can honestly say this will be the last time we ever go - the service and food has steadily declined and tonight I think hit rock bottom - the food was not edible -my daughter ordered a medium hamburger and was served a raw hamburger and the country fried steak was literally half raw fried hamburger !!!!- The best part was when I asked for the check a few minutes after being served and clearly not eating any of the meal - I was charged FULL price, 33 dollars for raw hamburger what a joke!!! -- too many other good places now in the P'boro to go to instead - not going to deal with this ever again

The staff and service were very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere will have you coming back. My food, however, was not up to par for the price in my opinion. My boyfriend had the Roadhouse sandwich which was very good! I had the Carolina calamari. The pulled pork was good but barely room temperature. The calamari was not seasoned at all- not even salt or pepper and, while I know it's flash fried, it was completely cold and soggy. My meal was decent but not at all what I expected for the price.
