Waffle House

This is the first time I've had a bad experience at a waffle house. We came in at 2:00 a.m. to get some breakfast. The grits had obviously been sitting for a very long time, as our portions had big chunks of congealed grits that had obviously been scraped from the bottom of the pot. My over easy eggs that apparently were cooked first and put on the plate and then they cooked everything else. By the time it got to the table the eggs were cold. My waffle was just barely cooked, was not crispy and was on the soggy side. The sausage was very overcooked. We have eaten at this waffle House previously and everything was great, but that was at a more normal time around 10:00 a.m. this won't stop us from coming back here again in the future, but it will be at more normal hours when the food is fresher.

Depending on the shift this place can go from 5 stars to -3. Tonight's experience deserves recognition for making all other bad experiences look better. Took ten minutes to get service, an additional twenty for our order to get called in to the cook. Would be understandable if the place was jam packed. But a Monday night, with only two other tables to serve. Could have been overlooked if the food had been worth eating. Better luck next time I guess.

Waffle House - this was the most humbling experience I have ever had at any restaurant in my entire life! Your team and your manager run a very clean efficient family first business. The staff was extremely polite and the manager made me feel like family to visit in her home. I will never forget this team this city or this moment GOD BLESS YOU ALL GOD BLESS AMERICA ! ❤️🇺🇸
