The staff was incredibly friendly and really cared about our experience. We went here on first Friday which I'm sure is a stressful time to work there, but they were all smiles.
The food was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it. I love how they give you both regular and sweet potato fries.

Such a sweet owner who genuinely cares about making his customers happy. Amazing coffee!! And great, welcoming atmosphere to hang out with friends or get some work done. We just found out they have an open mic too every 2nd Friday, and a happy hour. Can't wait to come back and check out more coffee drinks and food!
Very friendly and helpful service. He recommended the cold brew coffee which was delicious. I had the Rise burger, which was top 5 burger ever! It came with a delicious bowl of fruit as well. I ordered the AZ cancha salad to go and that was amazing too! Very cool place definitely coming back when I'm downtown.
This place has amazing food, the best biscuits and gravy in town and an amazing pulled pork sandwich that comes with an exciting blend of regular and sweet potato fries! The staff including Johnny and Emily are outgoing, fun, knowledgeable, and passionate about the coffee, food, and customer experience they serve! This is a great place to start your day or spend an afternoon with friends. They always have cool events and something exciting happening, especially on First Fridays!

This is not just another coffee shop, they have hands-down the best breakfast on Roosevelt and more. Their burros are excellent, love the tri-color potatoes that go with. Their huge bowl of steel cut oatmeal is so flavorful--perfect if you're craving a sweet, buttery, brown-sugar taste. They also have grab-and-go salads and bites, which is helpful if you want something healthy on the run. They have water infused with fresh herbs and fruit, a small detail that goes a long way. The owner greeted us with such a warm welcome--we had small children with us, and he said he loved seeing them play games and create a family feel. The rest of the staff is super friendly and helpful, we enjoyed chatting with Emily. I haven't tried their lunch, but I look forward to returning within the week as we live on the street and will definitely be frequenting this place. We love all of the coffee places/eateries along Roosevelt, but The Rise is a definite asset to the neighborhood--they have their own unique vibe that sets them apart from the other local spots.
Outstanding service, mouth-watering food and a casual vibe in an up-and-coming neighborhood. The espresso bar is a little slice of heaven for craft coffees and teas, and Johnny and Emily are the best...They will create a masterpiece for you every time! This is our new Saturday breakfast spot.
Food is exceptional for a small place ---clean as well. ,Cappuccinos, coffee and other beverages available and the cappuccinos were great. Music is great. Personnel and owner friendly and share conversation with customers.

What a find! My wife and I stopped in for lunch and the food we were both so impressed. We shared the hummus plate, which was incredible - every item was fresh and absolutely top-notch. From the hummus, to the pita, to the veggies, we enjoyed every bite. It came with 4 large shrimp which were perfectly grilled. We can't wait to go back!!
I'm in Arizona to visit my grandmother and started walking down the street. I was immediately drawn into this eatery from the outside. Very inviting. As soon as I walked in I was greeting by the owner and staff. They engaged with me over where I was from and what I do. Their selection and knowledge is superb. Johnny really had patience when explaining how to picked the right tea and food.
(I'm a lil picky). In a nut shell.. eat here go here ... you wont be dissapointed..
Wonderful place, great friendly service, wide variety of coffee, food, and even alcohol drinks. Enjoyed the live acoustic music on an open mic night. Highly recommend this place.
