A family favorite. I grew up down the street from Jordan 's. My parents would order take out from here and we would dine in as a family.
When my younger brother visits from out of state, we have lunch there. Just for the childhood memory. The cheese crisp is his favorite.
Full transparency: I’ve been enjoying Jordan’s for 48 years. I grew up on this food. If you like traditional Mexican food, you will love Jordan’s. Some don’t care for the hot sauce, but it’s a family favorite for us. You won’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
My coworkers and I came here for lunch. We will definately be back. We liked the fact that our choices could be scaled down to a lunch size or a dinner. The service was efficient and quick. We found the prices to be reasonable. Just under 20 bucks. Although I am sure had We added soft drinks then it would have been more. We enjoyed our meal and we will be back.
First time at Jordan's, and the food reminded me of my grandma cooking..loved it
We took my aunt out to lunch, and she suggested Jordan's. The food was great! We had shredded beef chimi's and beef tacos. Great food and great service!! We will be back!!
It's a family business, and if you want to try some truly Arizona style Mexican food, this is the spot. It's not Tex-Mex, and it's not "foofóo" Mex either. It's the kind of Mexican food that most native Phoenicians grew up with. Family-owned and operated, there's a chance your server is one of the family, if not that, they've probably been working there long enough that they might as well be family anyway. You'll notice that the cashier and hostess know most of the guests on a first-name basis. The recipes have been handed down several generations and the food consistency is pretty reliable. If you're looking for fancy, this is not your place, but if you're looking for a nice family restaurant with a lot of regulars this is the place. They do have a full restaurant bar and the marga are traditional. The drinks are good and well-matched for most of the Mexican dishes. It's surprising how large the beer selection is for such a small location too. This restaurant is hard to miss on 7th Street north of Maryland as there is a huge sign that is very visible from the road. Plenty of free parking in front too. Ask to see the large backroom if you need a venue for a group event. Try a cheese crisp!
No one will ever beat them. But I've been going here my whole life. My parents used to go to the stand by school before it became a restaurant. I miss the other location but as long as this one stays, I'm good. They have the BEST BEST BEST bean burros, chicken enchiladas, hot sauce CANT BE BEAT. I absolutely love love love Jordan's. Its made how its supposed to be made but with love too. ❤️
My nana used to work here so when o come in town from Mexico this is my place to come.
Food was great! Our waitress was on top of it!
Food was great good portions and great service full of flavor
Love this place, comfortable, great service, and wonderful food.
I've been going to Jordan's since I was a little kid. Their food is like home to me. The owners are the nicest. I noticed while I was there that almost everyone that walked in was talking about their favorite thing to get and how great the owners are. I was not alone in my feelings, for sure. I love their chips and sauce. It looks like ketchup, but tastes so good.
Best tacos in town! An old Phoenix Mexican staple.
If you have a sensitive tongue, than this salsa will suit you. Food in general was good, rice was a bit dry. Service was good, hoping next visit that they have more staff to help, when we went there, there was only one waiter and one chef in the back. Waited about 10 minutes to be seated, waited an hour to get our food.
But overall, I did not regret going. Lol. Props to the one waiter who held it down. 👌
