This is by far tne best bakery in Phoenix. The owners are super friendly and always please their customers. I always order party boxes of pita and burek for work and parties and they are so delicious and always full of ingredients. I had to do a large order of bread unexpectedly and this bakery made it happen. Thank you Balkan Bakery. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

The Balkan Bakery in Phoenix was a real treat. It is a small place with a few tables inside and 3 tables outside. In a small strip mall it could be easy to missed. If you do miss it turn around and come in for a treat. The cappuccino report. You like strong coffee. This is the place. And so flavorful. My honey is the coffee expert and she rated it very highly. I have not heard her so excited about coffee in a long time. Next have a burek in one of several flavors, beef, cheese, or spinach. There were four of us and we tried all of them and were pleased to find a dish none of us had ever had before and all of us enjoyed. You can watch them preparing the burek, where they start with an oh so thin dough, add a small long pile of the filling, roll roll roll it into a long rope, then with a butter brush and wrap it and bake. It is very good. Now I had to try some of the bread, and I must say I enjoyed it. The next course was baklava, different from other baklavas I have had, but the Balkan treat was loved by all. Go enjoy, try something new. Wow!

Woke up this morning and decided I wanted to try this place. Not disappointed, more like outstandingly impressed. I shared this spiced meat and flakery pastry with my hubby and it was amazing. I swear they make their own yogurt because it tasted prefect with the meat pastry. I can't wait to try the puff pastries I got. I wonder, if they make their own yogurt, they might make their own butter, which would make the pastry cream in the cream puffs to die for.

Balkan Bakery is one of the most authentic Eastern European bakeries in metro Phoenix. Their cream puffs and börek are our favorites! Not to mention (as a picky Italian), they have one of the BEST tiramisus I’ve had. You’re missing out if you don’t stop by! PS: If you need to get your Orangina fix in-you can do it here!

The spinach and cheese burek was absolutely delicious and the tiramisu was as well. You can tell everything is handmade in store because the quality is absolutely incredible. They had some lovely imported goods available for sale, which I'm looking forward to trying in the future. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a good priced high quality bakery experience.

Friendly proprietors and tasty cevapi! If you want something in particular, call ahead or come early because they frequently sell out of their most popular items.

New to the area, just came in to try the Baklava. It’s amazing. The best I’ve ever had in my life. Normally Baklava is a little too dry for my taste. This was deliciously moist and sweet. I will be back for sure.

My first time buying in this bakery, the lady behind the counter was very friendly. I came to try the burkas but they were gone. So I tried two fresh pastries and one sesame pretzel, both were yummy, I will be back for the burkas!!

Omg so good. Everything is amazing. I do wish that they offered a cheese and meat in one option for the burek instead of either or. The creme puffs and tiramisu are way above any other place I've tried. I want that creme filling recipe so bad. They're perfect!

Love this place. Even though the 2 times I went out of my way to specifically go m, was off a review I read. That reviewer was exactly right, everything I've tried has been perfect. I just need to make it early in the day next time. I've only been at the end of the day. Earlier next time for me.

The cream puffs are out of this world! If I'm having a bad day all I need is a bite of one of those amazing little treats. my only complaint is that they aren't open 24/7!

This was one of the most amazing sandwiches I’ve ever had. The bread was to die for. I also had a cheese berek and it was just as phenomenal. This is a truly hidden gem. The owner is such a nice guy.
