Papa Joe's Fish-n-que

I don't know where 'Papa' Joe went. but this is definitely not the same place. Joe had really good food and was always there when there when open. I noticed the name change, but they served the same food. How bad could it be. Well besides the higher prices, I couldn't taste the catfish over the burnt oil. I will never go there again. Joe wasn't there either and I should have just turned around then. Does anybody know where Joe went?

Brought my family here today for lunch. We tasted love and years of experience in the food. After we demolished our fish flatters, I was stuffed. But I couldn’t walk out of there without trying the burger. Excellent burger too! We found our new go to fish fry! The employees and ownership are the icing on the cake. Loved the experience all the way around 10/10!

Okay that name is not the name on the restaurant, it Charlie Mae's Soul Food. Two of my co workers and I went to this place and all three of us was so ready for some soul food being that we're from North Carolina. Been working here in Arizona for three weeks looking for an down to earth soul food place. I'm going to keep it nice and simple. Only thing was good was the music. The price for the quality of what little food you get is ridiculous. You order an meal make sure its done. You don't get a roll or a piece of cornbread with a meal.

Hands down the best fish in the city! Breaded and seasoned perfectly! The service was fantastic! I couldn't decide what type of fish I wanted to get so Papa Joe gave me 1 of each. The cod, whiting and catfish. The portions are huge and each fish was flavorful and tastey. With the combo you get shrimp and a drink for a great price! Would highly recommend!
