Va Bene

This is a real neighborhood gem that even our pickiest eater can enjoy. In my opinion, the daily lunch specials are the best around in terms of quality and value. The italian food is really good, no matter what you order. The staff is seasoned, been here a long time, and their recommendations are solid. The managers and owners are always helping out and are very friendly. Dinners are excellent and if you stay late they always have great live music. Good bands too. The place is great, treat them well if you stop in. We love em.

I really enjoyed this place. My friend and I started out with the eggplant bruschetta and the crispy calamari. They were very filling and my friend did not order an appetizer she ate a little bit of my entree which was the linguine and clams. That thing came out in a big bowl with lots of broth. Lots of seasoning in that. I also saw on the menu they had fresh pesto sauce. I wanted to try it so I asked for a small cup of it. I put some on my linguine it was pretty good. One of the things that I like to order is iced tea and these guys had some really good tropical iced tea. We ordered desert to go but nibbled before we left. We got the tiramisu and cheesecake with a Berry sauce. Both were good the tiramisu tasted like they made it a little unique and it was very good. Kind of like a tiramisu cake. We sat next to the fish tank with the beautiful fish 🐠🐟. Very nice table.

We picked Va Bene by chance. We were looking for a place to hole up till the traffic settled down. We chose wisely. The food was excellent. I believe I had the Penne Siciliana which was not a disappointment, it being very delightful in flavor. All of the ingredients to this from-scratch-meal, I like. I had hoped it would not disappoint. It did not. My wife was also very pleased with her selection. I apologize for not being exact in my words. We very much enjoyed Va Bene and we will be back. Regards . . .

Great time last night. It appears it has been 2 years since I have been there for dinner and dancing and I have to say the food and service were FANTASTIC! Much improved over my last visit and it didn't hurt that the band was great. It was a great time. My review from 2 years ago starts here: Had a nice dinner. Food was great. Service was okay. Got up and filled my own water, as the waiter brought the bill and didn't fill my empty glass. Service was mediocre the entire time. After dinner went to the bar and enjoyed the live music.
