One of the best cheese steaks in Philly. Located near LaSalle University, this is a great spot for a generous cheese steak or pizza. The buffalo chicken cheese steak is killer. The shop is a bit of a dive but that's what makes it so great.

I've been going to the Den for a few decades. I gotnto say I'm disappointed. The cheesesteak was good, but the hoagie was the worst thing I've ever seen. Maybe they recognized me and hook up my pizza. But guys the hoagie was shameful. Attached are before and after pics. 2018 and now

Dear LaSalle grads, please stop recommending explorers den. I am assuming you ate at Explorers Den after drinking and/or explorers Den has new owners. I am not a fan of this cheesesteak. It was under $10. I really can't think of anything else to say about this cheesesteak
