Bob's Crab House

Delicious crabs. In fact the whole menu is well seasoned, fresh and good. The place just needs a better ordering system. It’s pure chaos especially during this new “Pandemic “ ordering system. It’s so hard to get through to anyone on the phone. You can’t pre order. U have to physically stand in line and call to order while in front of the place. Good luck with that. Busy signal after busy signal. I finally got through I was parked right in front of the place. Guy told me he couldn’t take my order. To get in line then call. Very frustrating I gave up. Went to another establishment and was very disappointed. I guess if u want Bob’s be prepared to make a day of it and have the patience of Job.

Okay went to bobs on 7/15 between 11:-11:30 am .I purchased 3 dozen $2 live crabs . They were fresh & filled with meat . To the gentleman that helped me who has also helped me on a few other occasions thank you (next time I’ll get his name )I did what you said and went straight home and cooked them only lost 2 , they came out great for our little seafood feast . Y’all need to hire more pple like him!

Tell them to go easy on the old bay seasoning, I told them I wanted them spicy, when I got home I opened them and they were literally completely covered in old bay seasoning. It was making me gag, I had to wash all of them off and put them into another container with butter and garlic, after this they were amazing. They great crabs, but just need to take it easy on the old bay seasoning

I love Bob's blue crabs. 🦀 DELICIOUS!!! They are the best! If I didn't love the crabs so much I would take a star away for what I am about to say. The issue I have with Bob's is... They NEVER, EVER answer their phone. A couple of times they messed my orders up by leaving out a crab or two and forgetting my steamed clams. Stuff happens... My issue with Bob's messing my orders up is nowhere as agregious as them not picking up their phone. To me this issue is a lack of customer service ethics. It is completely unacceptable. Answer your phone Bob's because we are paying customers that deserve respect. It is disrespectful that our concerns and complaints are not appreciated like our money is.

NEW REVIEW lost a star- ordered medium fried shrimp with fries and this is what i got. Lol. Definitely not worth the wait. I was told they dont cook online orders for fried food until you get there.. waited almost 45 mins for this..ok taste but its a no for me for fried food.. wasnt even crowded. ORIGINAL REVIEW - Best blue crabs in north philly. They have a taste you crave. Been going there since I was a child and it's still delicious.
