This was a real deal Sandwich , the Cutlet deluxe was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Drove an hour away just to try this masterpiece. Places like these are far superior compared to mediocre wawa food. Try it people !

The reviews were right on, and they did not disappoint. First time giving Lil' Nick's a try down at Moyamensing & Shunk. The Aversa seeded roll was perfect. Crunchy on the outside and scooped out a bit for an ideal ratio. If you are in the area, or even if you are not, well worth a trip. Nicky's Special hit the spot today. (Sharp Prov/DiLusso Salami/Cured Sweet Capicola/Sopressata/LTO/O&V)

Absolute top tier for a sandwich. Went with their chicken cutlet special, long roll, long hots, fresh motz, tomato, and their own dressings. Amazing, ate every last bite and was satisfied as I have ever been eating a hoagie. Have to check it out if you are down here, and then go back again for the roast pork.

Nestled in the heart of South Philadelphia, Lil Nick's Deli stands as a culinary treasure, celebrated for its delectable offerings and, notably, its extraordinary "DAG Cutlet" sandwich. A visit to this establishment is an experience of indulgence and satisfaction, encapsulating the essence of the local food scene and its fusion of flavors. The star of the show, the "DAG Cutlet" sandwich, is a masterpiece that exemplifies the artistry of sandwich craftsmanship. Comprising a crispy fried chicken cutlet as its foundation, this sandwich demonstrates an expertly achieved balance of textures and flavors. The initial crunch of the cutlet gives way to the creamy and rich mozzarella, which imparts a comforting melt-in-your-mouth sensation. The addition of prosciutto elevates the sandwich's saltiness and depth, contrasting perfectly with the mild heat of the long hots. What truly sets the "DAG Cutlet" apart, however, is the masterstroke of balsamic glaze that crowns the sandwich. The tangy and slightly sweet glaze binds all the components together, enhancing each bite with a harmonious blend of taste sensations. This divine combination is not just a sandwich; it's a symphony of flavors that dance across your palate. Lil Nick's Deli has become a bona fide South Philly staple, embodying the spirit of the neighborhood's love for hearty, flavor-packed sandwiches. With its warm and inviting ambiance, it's more than just a place to grab a bite—it's a culinary sanctuary where locals and visitors alike gather to savor the essence of the city's food culture. But the enchantment doesn't end with the "DAG Cutlet." Lil Nick's Deli continues to captivate its patrons with another stellar creation: the "Pesto Cutlet" sandwich. This symphony of tastes features a fried chicken cutlet adorned with the velvety richness of vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella. The addition of pancetta introduces a smoky element that tantalizes the taste buds, while the pesto sauce offers a vibrant and aromatic burst of freshness. Each bite is a revelation, a testament to the thoughtful pairing of ingredients and the dedication to culinary excellence. Lil Nick's Deli has solidified its status as a culinary mecca within the vibrant South Philly community. The "DAG Cutlet" and "Pesto Cutlet" sandwiches stand as shining examples of the establishment's commitment to crafting sandwiches that are not just meals, but memorable experiences. With each visit to Lil Nick's Deli, patrons embark on a journey of flavor, tradition, and innovation—a journey that pays homage to the culinary legacy of South Philadelphia while paving the way for a deliciously exciting future.

Lil Nick’s is my go to hoagie shop! I regularly take these special beauties to friends out of state… they rave about it, I rave about it, and you should too. Speaking of hoagies, it’s time for me to get my order, again.

Got the south Philly chicken cutlet sammich with roasted red peppers (inspired by someone else's review). This sammy filled me up and was delish. So much so, I ate the whole thing and wanted to sleep the rest of the afternoon. Regardless, no regerts! Would get it again.

Daughter and SiL are 13th just off Oregon so we always get lunch from Nick's on visits. Always outstanding food and the guys on the grills are fun to watch. There's a place for sale on 13th up a couple places from the fire house, now retired so very tempting...
