My first time visiting and as a Bonified Foodie , I was very impressed with the presentation of the food. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I had the Sunday brunch, Tres golpes, strawberry coquito without alcohol and Raspberry lava cake. The service was also fantastic. I will Definitely be visiting again.
Food was excellent. We had cheesesteak egg rolls. Grilled chicken skewers. Chicken and waffles and Steak w/mashed yuca and asparagus.
I’ve been to this place many times nobody’s perfect but for my experience, the food has been excellent. I’ve tried most of the things On the menu, the salmon is incredible. Anybody who knows Spanish food or Caribbean food would know the difference. The Long Island iced teas are mixed properly compared to other places and the people always been nice there. I haven’t run into any problems and it’s been years that I have been going there.
I discovered this restaurant through Instagram reels. I wanted to go as it seemed like it had a nice vibe. I wanted to also try their mojito tower and the food looked very enticing. This place serves Carribean/Latin inspired cuisine and is located in northeast Philly. For starters we had the island shrimp, mofonguito flight, croqueta de platano maduro, platano relleño, and calamari. All the food tasted great and beautifully plated! The island shrimp tasted great but is basic. The dish consisted of crispy butterfly shrimp served with house made slaw. The following dishes are my favorites during the visit and I highly recommend. The mofonguito flight consists of a trio of fried mashed plantains topped with ground beef, stewed chicken, and shrimp drizzled with chili and fresh guacamole. The Croqueta de platano maduro is a ripe plantain croquettes filled with shredded chicken and cheese served with creamy cilantro aoili. The platano relleño dish consists of baked sweet plantain stuffed with shrimp and is topped with house special sweet creamy chili sauce. The calamari dish was pretty basic as well but I really liked it. Their calamari is lightly breaded, well seasoned and perfectly crisp. The dish is served with ketchup and Chipotle aoili. We ordered a lot of appetizers as we find the portion to be on the smaller side (as pictured). For cocktails, we ordered a mojito tower. We were able to select 5 out of the 8 flavors offered. We selected: Coconut, Tamarind, Passion Fruit, Strawberry, and Mango. We wanted Guava but they were out of the flavor during the visit. The drinks tasted great and refreshing but we find the drinks to be on the weaker side. I also had the Mango Henessy cocktail which was not bad but again on the weaker side. I actually prefer this specific drink to be on the weak as I am not really much into the taste of Henessy. The price of the food and the drinks were not bad. I felt we ordered a lot of items for the amount we paid overall during the visit. I forgot the name of the server but she was really pretty, friendly and very attentive. She also had a really nice smile. The place is decorated nicely and is clean. The music was a little loud. The place also offers hookah which I believe is paid cash only. I would definitely go back to this place for the food mostly although I would try the drinks again (maybe it was just a miss for the visit). I rate this place a 4.7 out of 5. I'm not one for noisy establishments, but then again, I'm getting up there in age. :)
Other than the high volumed music, service and food made up for it in many ways. Staff is very professional and attentive. Food is well presented, and kudos to the chef and his team, well made. Our first time and won't be our last.
Had a nice time. The food was delicious and flavorful. My only problem was that the waitress put only half our order in. So my food came out first, and an hour later, my husband's food finally came out. They did give us a couple of drinks for the inconvenience.
Omgggg the Mojito tower is da 💣 bomb. Love it going back for more. Food was excellent. Great service 👏 👍 👌
Delicious food! I was skeptical coming from NJ but once inside the ambiance was great. The margaritas were on point! We had empanadas, salmon, rice and mofongo with shrimp. Everything was simply delicious and the presentation of the food was great! We will definitely be returning! Nice place for date night too!
The food was excellent, and full of flavor. This was is a nice spot to hangout with friends or date night with the signficant other. The interior is really inviting and lively. They had a DJ playing music when I was there so it was also entertaining. Great place for Spanish food and drinks.
Update: Went back a second time and the food is just amazing.
Nice place to meet up with friends for some delicious cocktails, music and Latin American cuisine! Very clean, diverse and they have great service especially Jeff and the bartender!
Food is absolutely amazing, and the servers are quite helpful in explaining the dishes. It's not very expensive and a good place to take a date or to treat your self. The interior almost has this country feel with the wooden barrels around the inside and it also has outdoor seating. Highly recommend
Service can be a little slow but otherwise this Latin spot is fantastic and fun. Have the pulpo the Spanish grilled octopus is very good and the cocktails are also a great choice.
Food was good. Mofongo was a lil stiff but flavor was on point. The waiter was nice and made it a good experience.
Absolutely fantastic! So good I'm sitting here writing this review because the people need to know lol. Take it from a hispanic man that has been searching for a good Spanish food spot for years and nothing! Until now. To start this spot looks great with an awesome ambiance. Our server Emilio was super nice, quick and told us all about the place. Now the food 🤩. Everything was good. The steak came out sizzling and tasted as good as it looked. Not even a fan of red beans but theirs here are absolutely fire. Fuel of flavorful herbs that just jump out with every bite. My wife had the rib eye and again just melted in your mouth. Plantains were perfect and plenty of them. The final star of the show... the tres leches cake. Better than what I had growing up in Miami. So juicy but still not soggy. This is my new and only Spanish food spot. Will be back many times. Last note try the bruja went to long Island drink. Hits hard and looks great! ...
