The Chicken Kebab Sandwich blessed my mouth. Almost instantly, I could feel my spoon growing to scoop up more of that delicious delight. The service was quick, and I finished just as quickly. Calling this experience outstanding would be an understatement to this business. I will be making my 1 hour commute here every week for this delight.
Chicken shawarma was really flavorful and fresh. The vegetables added a limey kick and the meat was very tender. Highly recommend, and was affordable for the amount of food you get
Mr beast came in and offered my friend a gazillion dollars to finish his food and he did it. When you enter here you’ll feel better normal time slow down as you get to relish in the daylight savings of Mediterranean cuisine: Falafel time
In short, bussin no cap on god
Best shawarma sandwich ever. I was joking with the staff that this sandwich is the best one ever, and sure enough, it might be. Well-seasoned meats, garlic sauce with the perfect amount of flavor, rich citrus in the fresh fix-ins… it’s delicious. So good I went back for a second one. Really!
Great authentic chicken shawarma. Very friendly employees. There is also a convenient public eating area outside that is just around the corner.
The shawarma is always amazing. The guys in there are from Syria & they’re very kind & always hook you up with the best 3rabi style sandwich!
I got the falafel.. very good.. I asked for fries well done they were soggy.. when I lifted the bag it fell apart and fries took a swan dive all over my passenger seat n floor.. smh
This is absolutely the best falafel in all of Philadelphia. Located on the 2200 block of South Street on the southside of the block. Family run business. Same two gentlemen preparing the food every time I go. The big difference between this place and others is that everything is made fresh ALWAYS, and you can taste the difference. We normally order 2 falafel sandwiches, lentil soup with a side of rice, and hummus with an extra pita, as well as a drink for myself and one for my lady (see photos). Drink selection includes most of your favorites as well as some imported drinks to discover. Believe it or not for all of the food that I mentioned the bill is always about $30. The same order would cost closer to $50 or more at all the "competition" in the area. I Love that it's family run. The same two guys put the same amount of love and care into every order. Not prepared by some stranger with something they'd rather be doing than work. In my opinion this is the absolute best place you can try for falafel, hummus and many other delicious treats. Expect to be handed some baccala while you wait. Also extremely delicious. Flaky and bursting with textures and flavors. This place gets a perfect score. 10 out of 10.
They take credit card again but it’s a $1.99 fee. Some of the best cheap Mediterranean food in the area. Gotta try their kebabs and lentil soup!
This place is a small, made for take out, establishment. Not much in the way of a sit down dining experience is to be expected. With that being said the food was delicious. My first exposure to falafel, but certainly not my last. Reasonably priced for a central location in the city. The service and the friendliness of the staff was really what sets this business apart. My friend and i got to the restaurant just as they closed. But the staff decided to ask what we wanted and since it wasn't a lot, they made food for us even though they were finished cooking for the day. They didn't rush through the process and we got food that was delicious. The friendliness and the quality food has made me a fan for sure. When ever it's time for falafel it will for sure be Falafel Time.
