The tomato turnovers are delicious and unique! Rich and full of flavor but made without cheese. I bought them to serve with lentil soup for out of town guests and they were a great hit.
I always get bread but their loaves are great too! cranberry, banana chocolate chip, peach, apple, and a moist pound cake. Yum!! Can't forget their fried dough, and the cherry bites and apple bites too.
We just picked up our Easter bread - it is so delicious, melts in your mouth. Soft, sweet - out of this world - Thank you!
The best Italian bread in South Philly. Large & small rounds and long loaves, seeded and unseeded baked in wood burning stove by local family. Whole wheat loaves available on Fridays. Once the baker gave me loaf straight out of the oven - amazing!
My husband and I LOVE Faragalli's bakery! Since moving to the neighborhood, it has become a habit! We love their fresh turnovers. (I like the chocolate, my husband likes the spinach). They are really kind, friendly people too! It is a small storefront with so much South Philly classic character.

Disregard any of the low star reviews - this place is third generation authentic old world moved to new world Italian bread making. It’s famous for the family recipe “loafs” - that means the large long bread which you can see in the picture. The original recipe didn’t have seed

Best Italian bread anywhere. The crispier the better. Put some evo and fresh basil on it and I am in heaven.
