The food was absolutely delicious, and I can't wait to go back and try a platter and a burrito! My friend got the chicken burrito and it looked excellent too. Thai coffee was really good, not extremely sweet, but tasty. The sriracha mayo they have is an excellent sauce. Highly recommend this food truck and can't wait to return
So happy to see one of my favorite food trucks is back! Food still slaps after all these years. Love the chicken katsu, which is so crispy and juicy, and I enjoyed a delicious platter today. You can choose tacos, burrito, platter or a burger for the protein options. The peanut curry chicken over rice is also phenomenal but only available on Monday and Tuesday. I’ll be back soon for that plus some shrimp katsu. The folks on the truck couldn’t be nicer!
Chicken Katsu platter was THE deal. Salad, sticky rice, sunny side up egg, a big crispy chicken portion, AND tasty sauces at $10-11 for THIS much quality food? Yes, please, I'll take 46.
WHOA!!! This food truck needs to be duplicated and parked in even neighborhood in Philly. A friend of mine *put me on*!! Pictured: A taco- I think it's a fish taco. I can't remember. Also, 🗣 SWEETO POTATO CURRY CHICKEN over white rice. 😯😋 Sooo good!! I want more 😫, as I type this passage. Lol! Ugh! The SPCC is available Mondays and Tuesdays only.
Tasty and delicious. I love it spicy so last picture is captain crunch rice platter in all 3 of their spicy sauces....yummy
Limited menu but what they do is fantastic. My Chicken Katsu was tender, juicy and crispy, no small feat. Sauce was perfect amount of hot.
Edit: IT HAS REOPENED!! I'm not around to try it anymore but hoping the food is still just as good as it used to be. 5 stars!!!
Edit: still closed as of 6/1/2022. My worst fear has been realized. I have graduated with no more Cucina Zapata in my life. I will no longer be able to check if they're open. Good bye Philly :'(
I'm giving a 1-star review because even though this was the best food truck in all of West Philly, they've been constantly lying to us with a sign that says "we'll be back soon" but it's been years now and they're STILL CLOSED!! 😭 I will update with the most glorious 5-star review when they reopen to let everyone know when their delicious chicken katsu and fish burritos are back.
FISH TACOS were delicious!!!! The chicken katsu was also extra crispy and had a lot of meat. One of the best food trucks I've ever been to for sure :). Check them out! Also shout-out to Jay for being such a good sport
