Three of us ordered two of the combos over Ethiopian bread with two sides of samosas.
The samosas were ok, we guessed that they might have been bought from a grocery store. The combos were very delicious and authentic. We enjoyed the meal very much.
The waitress explained the meals well and was ve
Great neighborhood spot! You should know there seems to be only one server, but sheβs lovely and does the job well!
The food is always on point. Love the blend of spices and highly recommend the doro wot (spicy simmer chicken legs). Truly a great experience every time and always well priced. Get a
Absolutely incredible. Immaculate vibes. I got into town late at night. This place took care of me, prepared a delicious meal (meat combo) made with clean ingredients and pure love. Highest and strongest recommendations.
Wanted to try some Ethiopian cuisine and this was the nearest one where we stayed. It didnβt look like restaurant from outside but as we entered it was fully packed. At least 15 min wait for the table to be seated and another 15-20 min wait for the food. But the food was worth the wait. The lamb cur
Great authentic feel Ethiopian with large plates and reasonable prices, alcohol service, upstairs bar, etc. Recent renovations make the space even better. Meats like traditional kitfo can be asked for rare or raw. A few Ethiopian beers available if you are interested.
Super good, we got in by 5:30 and it was empty but by 6 it was totally full. Pretty minimalistic service but it was fine and the food was great.
The meat combination with Azifa, the cabbage, (green beans/potatoes/carrots) and collards, was better than sex today.
I'm so glad I ate it as takeout in the car, I moaned the entire time, Omgsogood. πβΊοΈπ€€πππππππ. I love Abyssinia. For a very long time. I am so grateful for the first time I had ful b
They have a lot of events. I go for their monthly craft class. I've learned how to make resin pins and bind books. The food is incredible too.
I decided to have lunch here one Sunday and ordered the meat combo which came with lamb, chicken and beef along with three vegetable sides for around $13. The meal came over a bed of injera (extra injera provided). All in all, I thought that the meal was delicious and service excellent.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was kind and attentive

Delicious food. Good service. They have many different things and you'll want to go more than one for sure!! Ethiopian food is meant to be shared so be sure to bring some friends so that you can try many menu items. Everything is served from one plate with injera on the side for grabbing bites (no s
The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable and the waitress is wonderful!
Unfortunately, she is the only one, so the service was a bit slow today.
I'm serious- the waitress is courteous, friendly and diligent, but it is understandably difficult to serve everyone at the pace they would like al
Delicious Ethiopian full of charm with a great dive bar on the second floor (bar is cash only but ATM on site). Everyone was so friendly. Ingera was light and fluffy. Cool neighborhood too! Samosas slam!
Ethiopian food is some of my all time favorite food and in Philly you have a lot of options, but Abyssinia is one of the best. Food is consistently great every time. The vegetarian platter is excellent.
You get a ton of food for a low price.
I highly recommend this spot for any occasion.
This place is one of the most consistently delicious places I visit. I usually stop in about once a month, and the food is always so good, regardless of what dish I get. I have tried all of their combination platters, which has allowed me to taste most of the dishes they offer. The ambiance is okay,
