I have been to Greece many times and know what a great gyro tastes like. For that reason, my standards for gyro are simply too high. But this place does a solid gyro that I enjoy eating. I always get the classic pork and they fill it up well and load it with fries. I recommend it to anyone that wants to try the Greek gyro in its original authentic form. And for those of you that do eat gyro, this spot does an honorable job.
Yeeroh is the best! If you want awesome, fresh Greek food, this is the place to go. I have ordered from here countless times. They offer Greek classics as well as new, interesting Greek-style creations. Delicious, over-stuffed gyros are their bread-and-butter. The prices are reasonable, and delivery is VERY fast. I have tried a bunch of things from their very large menu.
The Classic Ap'Ola sandwich is fantastic. It's a very classic Greek gyro (pita, pork, fries, tomato, red onion, tzatziki). The pork is juicy and has tons of flavor. The homemade tzatziki sauce is honestly the best tzatziki sauce I’ve ever had. It’s thick, tangy, and has big chunks of cucumber in it. If you want a standard, authentic gyro then you won’t be disappointed with this.
The Diavolo sandwich is by far my favorite thing on the menu. I was unsure if I’d like it, but I’m so glad that I gave it a chance. It’s incredible. Everything on the sandwich compliments each other so nicely. The salty meat and fries combined with cucumber is a delicious contrast. The spicy feta and ghost pepper hot sauce taste absurdly good. I now prefer this sandwich over a classic gyro every time because of how extremely interesting it is. It’s a very hot sandwich, but if you think you can handle it then you’ll love it.
To speak on some of their sides: They have great smooth, and savory hummus. Their french fries are golden in color, seasoned very well, and soft & crispy at the same time. They are excellent on their own and perfect for going in a gyro. The only thing that I’ve tried that I didn’t love was the breaded zucchini fries. They were just OK because they were soggy. But maybe they’re better at the restaurant rather than though delivery.
For dessert, I’ve tried their homemade baklava and I’m a big fan of it. It’s sweet, has a crunchy layer of nuts, and is very flaky. It’s great baklava.
They let you customize the salads, sandwiches, bowls, and trays, so you can get whatever you want. They have so many options of proteins, toppings, and spreads to choose from. The trays are huge portions – great for if you’re very hungry. Most other places don’t offer chicken, pork, AND lamb & beef gyros.
South Street Souvlaki, another great Greek restaurant, is similar, but I prefer Yeeroh. South Street Souvlaki’s gyros have lamb & beef while Yeeroh offers many meats, one being pork. I can never forget being told by friends from Greece that pork is the meat that belongs in a gyro. Also, while South Street Souvlaki has great tzatziki, you can’t beat Yeeroh’s.
Overall, it’s delicious, flavorful, authentic, and creative Greek food. The menu is huge, so there should be something for everyone.
Very fresh taste in all the ingredients..I ate a bowl and everything was excellent..
We spent hours deciding on where we wanted to eat today... I AM SO HAPPY WE WENT HERE. The food was incredible. Even our 11 year old said it was the best food he's eaten in a while. Lol. I can't wait to come back!!
A little shop where you can grab a nice Mediterranean meal. It is fast food but the quality is good. There are a few tables for people to sit down. Me and my wife enjoyed a quick meal before attending a show in the Miller Theater, a walking distance away.
Greek/middle eastern foodery with amazing fries, salads, and pita sandwiches. The service is friendly, quick and enjoyable. Sandwiches are $8-15. They have hand crafted desserts, falafel and sodas. Highly recommend after a night out on south street.
Just around the corner from my real estate office, and I can't believe how long it took me to eat here! It was fantastic!!
I had their traditional Gyro with pork and it was really great. The meet was perfectly prepared, and I will definitely be going back to try some of their other variations!
I also got a chicken Skewer just to try something else while I was there, and WoW I'm glad I did! This chicken Skewer was the most perfectly cooked chicken I've ever had, ever! Absolutely perfect, I'm still having dreams about it. I'll probably be back there this week haha.
We ordered delivery from Yeeroh. I'm writing this review A. because the food was delicious & B. because the delivery was to notch.
We ordered a lil bit of ery'thing like we usually do first time trying a new restaurant. It was all stupid good. Nothing made it to the fridge to "eat later". OK, that was the grub side. Like I said in writing this review for two reasons. The second is the delivery. The food was delivered quickly and was still hot (we live bout' 15 blocks away). Most of the time you get your food in some sloppy fashion, but these guys stepped it up. The food was put in the bag in a way that nothing got smushed. They used some sturdy containers, and even tapes the sauces closed so you didn't get a bag full of Taziki soup.
All said, we will definitely be ordering from Yeeroh again. We might even visit in person to bust-a-grub.
I didn't know this place existed until I walked down South Street looking for a different restaurant and came across this crystal gem. The young guys who work behind the register and in the kitchen are really friendly and customer-oriented, even late at night.
But the food, the FOOD, let me tell you...
I will get a gyro at restaurants only once I'm comfortable with their other offerings because it's usually hit or miss. Yeeroh, with gyros being their bread and butter, I figured what the heck, right? I was blown away! So flavorful, so well seasoned, the food basically melted in my mouth. My friend got a gyro salad with lamb and I got a chicken gyro with fries on the side. Portions are great. Fries were some of the best I've ever had.
You've gotta try this place.
Blown away. Stopped for a late-ish night sandwich. First, unlike most of the recent wave of Middle Eastern hummus and gyro places turning up all over, these guys serve Lamb! Perfectly spiced, overstuffed pita with delicious top quality lamb.
I got my sandwich to go, and even after a 5 block walk, it was fantastic. I may or may not have eaten all of the zucchini fries on the walk home;) Also fantastic.
The guys working were friendly, the place is super clean, well lit, nice looking interior. Most importantly, quality product all around. Straightforward menu with just enough choices. I can't wait to go back!
