Feels like Chinatown in the Northeast. Spacious venue popular for dim sum. Good selection of food. Great service even when very busy which they usually are. Plenty of parking.

Ventured out to the northeast part of Philly this past weekend for a private celebratory dinner. It was a pre set menu already chosen by the inviter. To my surprise, I didn’t know what to expect but the food, everything from beginning to finish was very tasty good. Instead of naming every single dish, you can scroll through ➡️ everything is in order from first to last dish. Only missing the last 2 dessert dishes. If you’re ever wanting authentic chinese style food, this is a good plan b if you don’t feel like dealing with the madness that comes with driving into Philly Chinatown 🤤😂

Went here with my Auntie and uncle and seated very quickly today . Definitely a big place and very busy for sure. It’s quite much people although it’s on Tuesday . Actually the food just so so but they service good. It’s usually easy to flag someone if you need something and they followed through pretty quickly

I attended a wedding there. It was beautifully decorated. There was a stage for a live band and a huge dance floor. The bathrooms were clean and there were no lines! The food seemed as if it was never ending. Great Job

We went on Saturday for lunch. There is a parking lot with free parking available, however, there were so many people that I feel like it took longer to get a parking spot than it did to get seated at a table. If you have a big party, I would recommend trying to condense the number of cars. The restaurant was very busy. However, to be seated for 2 people it was only about a 15-20 minute wait. There was an employee near the entrance who wrote down your name and party size and would call your name whenever an adequate table was ready. Once we were seated, we were offered tea and/or water. They leave a pitcher of the drinks on the table for you to refill your cups yourself. Employees roll around carts with different types of dim sum options to choose from. There was a cart with soup, one with desserts, one with shumai. There didn’t seem to be many options available and the carts came at irregular times. For example, the soup cart came to our area 2-3 times within 10 minutes whereas the other carts came by only once or twice the whole time we were there. The employees don’t really ask if you want anything, so if you see something you like, let them know! Don’t try to “wait your turn.” Instead, stand up, point, and just let them know what you want otherwise they will just roll the cart away and you will be left hungry and waiting. The food was good, but I felt like there was not a lot of variety. They have some of the “typical” dim sum foods, such as pork sticky rice leaf wraps, beef balls, pork and shrimp shumai, egg tarts, sesame balls, chicken feet, and shrimp rice noodle rolls. I was disappointed that they didn’t have pork buns, soup dumplings, and more meat options. Overall, we paid around $60 for 2 people (we got about 8-10 dishes). The wait was not bad for how busy the restaurant was. The food was good, however, I felt like there was not a lot of variety in the number of dishes available. The service was slow and the parking situation was a bad experience. If you’re craving dim sum, check this place out but be prepared for slow service once you’re seated and a busy/loud environment. I think I would do takeout next time instead of dining in.

Without a doubt, it's one of the better options in the area. The highlight of the visit was the continuous stream of carts filled with delicious dim sum offerings. The food was not only great but also perfectly seasoned, not overly salty, which suited my taste perfectly. One of the impressive aspects was their ability to accommodate our large party of 7+1 without much wait, even though they don't take reservations. The availability of ample parking is another convenience that adds to the overall positive experience. If you're looking for a top-notch dim sum destination with prompt service and a wide variety of dishes, China Gourmet is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is an authentic chinese experience. Try the salt and pepper pork! The dim sum is some of the best in the local area. The staff is exceptional and service is prompt.

I adore this establishment. I'd happily eat here several days a week, if I didn't live an hour away. Food wise, everything is always perfect and service is always on point. Thank you for existing ♡ ✌🏽

Authentic dim sum place!!! We tasted many dim sum places around ny pa area and this is by far the best! The price is also very good, the quality & variety of the dim sum dishes they offer is incredible. The service staff are very attentive. Some dishes to try is the durian pastry, rich and creamy! The chicken feet is also very tasty, not overcooked like many places where it falls apart when you try to get it. The egg tarts are good but not as good as the durian pastries. Overall I highly recommend this place for authentic HK style dim sum.

We came to visit a family member here and ended up having both lunch and dinner at this restaurant. Dim sum lunch had a long line up. Dinner menu has wide varieties. The lobsters with sticky rice was awesome.
