My favorite sandwich place in Philly till date. They bake their own bread. Fresh meat, vegetables and cheese. If you toast the whole bread, then it will be more tasty, I observed. I always order the turkey sandwich, the Arcadia or the Jersey. They are both awesome. The bread is a bit more hard to tear, but it's taste is worth all the effort.
One of my friend suggested this place and I haven't changed since then.

All around enjoyable and surprisingly inexpensive. The almond croissant was well executed and the pumpkin seed bread made great toast topped with kaasaggio robusto 10 month old and halved dates. The borscht is very flavorful for still what I referred to as gringo borscht. It was restauranty and salty without its more familiar rustic charm. Just because I do not see myself making it myself and my baba has been dead for 20 years, I see myself ordering it a second time. A quality bakery with a long history in Philadelphia

For best selection during lunch ARRIVE at approximately 11:30pm-11:45 pm If you come to early you will not see all the lunch items available. Its Really Really small and gets packed they move really fast and have a dedicated friendly staff. Don't forget to get a punch card if you come here often you'll get a free sandwich

Some of the best sandwiches in Philly! Bread is amazing, ingredients are always fresh, and make sure you pick up a loyalty card. Every 11th sandwich is free. Trust me, you'll be going back that many times!

Best grilled cheese and cold cucumber dill soup ever. I use to go there everyday for lunch when i worked nearby. Recently moved away from philly, wish i could get that cucumber soup recipe!!

I was in the area today searching for a bakery to satisfy my sweet tooth. Originally when I walked in, I thought I made a mistake because the bakery options were extremely limited. But since I already walked all the way here, I decided to buy a double chocolate and a chocolate chip cookie. These cookies, only $1.25 each, were huge, thick, and surprisingly soft!! So delicious and was the perfect treat!

Great real bread, muffins, bagels, challah, sandwiches and more.
Good prices, considering the high quality. Friendly, helpful staff. What's not to like ? Go and enjoy.

Love this place! The most amazing turkey sandwich made with super fresh, paper-thinly sliced turkey. Get your sweet fix with a palmier

It's a great lunch spot that adds a refreshing indy touch to a foodscape that is increasingly dominated by big corporate franchises. P.s. the friggin soups are awwwesome

Favorite lunch spot in the city. Get the Delhi toasted and a mini cookie and head over to the park to enjoy it. Fast and friendly service

This spot is kind of easy to walk by, but the sandwiches are pretty good. They recently jumped up in price by 2 dollars, and my biggest motivation to visit was the cheaper prices.

Some of the best bread I've had in Philly. If you're looking for a great, inexpensive baguette, this is the place.

Beck's is my favorite place...I love it so much. The food is amazing and brings a breath of fresh to Philadelphia cuisine. The specials are always on point and never disappoint. Essential spot for all foodies..the gator gumbo over jumbalaya is my favorite:)

First of all. Idk who's Grandma you're hiding back there, because I had the bread pudding with the vanilla sauce.... My God. If I would've died right after that. It would've been perfect. I recommend everything on the menu.

Came here on a whim for breakfast and the steak and Egg w/ salsa (yes of all the things I could've ordered) and it was so good! I recommend this place even for breakfast!

Incredible food and service, Margaret suggested the trainwreck and it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Classy establishment. Amazing servers.
Noah Pendrak
The Trainwreck is literally the best sandwich ever! We travel about an hour just for lunch here and I get one sandwich for there and one to go!

The food is good, just like you ordered from New Orleans, but the service staff SUCKS!
I ordered $25 worth of food, left a nice tip from the ToGo line , only because seats were full at counter.
A seat came available , no other consumers were waiting to sit. I sat down just as they called my name , I was really excited to sit & eat but was told I could not and had to leave the counter! My food was thrown at me on the counter in powdered sugar which they would not clean until I got up & left ! Soooo rude!!!
Obviously the owner is sooo money hungry that he can’t see the big picture, courtesy & Kindness to those that give you business.
The girls behind the counter need to learn some manners and take a lesson on how to handle situations without being bitchy!
Come on people , show some love!
Horrible experience!

Beck's is THE best stop in the Reading Terminal Market. Try the Trainwreck sandwich. It truly is a mix of Philly and New Orleans. Their customer service is exceptional. If my husband was left to his own devices, this is the only place he would have ordered from our entire trip.

From breakfast to their desserts, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Love this place!👍💯

The food and service is great!!! I'm hooked on the Train Wreck -
Andouille sausage, steak, salami, and onions served on a french baguette with cheese and creole mayo. I also had the Gator Gumbo, which was delicious as well.

We used to eat at diNics. Haven't been there since we sampled Becks gator gumbo years ago!!

Great Cajun food in the heart of Philadelphia. Beck's brought N'awlins to "the city of brotherly love". I will always come back to this place! Highly recommended.

I saw Cafe Du Monde and envisioned slow dripped coffee onto sweetened condensed milk. That wasn't the case, they put it in the Bunn coffee pot and served it in a paper cup, still good. I was bummed Beignets weren't served on Saturday so I opted for something I never had. I chose the Bourbon Street Breakfast(BSB). It was described as red beans, an egg, served with rice, sausage and fried corn bread. It came out as a bowl which I didn't expect.
I was intimidated, so I took a sip of coffee and snapped a few pictures to kill some time. I pulled out the spoon and it had 3 grains of rice and mostly beans. The first taste made me regret my choice and I peered enviously at the mac'n'cheese everyone else was getting. I don't waste food, so I stabbed into the egg that was sitting on top and the yolk broke free of the egg whites, onto my spoon and into the rest of the bowl. I shoved it in my mouth and was pleasantly surprised. I don't know what happened in between, though I remember pinching the cornbread out of the way, but my stomach was hurting and my plastic white spoon was scraping the bottom of the black plastic bowl. It was so good that I apparently inhaled it and traumatized my stomach walls that tried to adjust to the rapid expansion. Then I noticed I haven't even touched the cornbread. So I stabbed and crumbled it up, wiping it into the lines of red beans left by my scraping. The cornbread was good, but it was about the combination of getting beans, eggs, sausage and rice onto each and every spoon.
I want to return and want to try more, whether it is a Po Boy, mac'n'cheese or another BSB Bowl.

One of the best places to get Cajun food. I eat there every time I am near by ,and the staff are always friendly and polite.
