fantastic place to eat and drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Fabulous staff make it a happy night.
Best fireplace and overall ambiance in that neighborhood. Best staff in the City!
I have been going here for years- food is consistently amazing. Beer selection is on point. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Don't change anything!!!!
Came in from out of town for the CBC conference and went here for a Ballast Point event. They have a great staff, the food I ate was excellent and from talking to the owner and a number of regular customers I can tell that they are on their A game every night. It will definitely be a place I will look to come back to when I am in Philly again.
This place is incredible! Best mussels I have ever tasted! The bacon wrapped dates are to die for too!!! One of my favorite places in the city! :)
This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat and drink!!! Hubby and I came here a couple months ago for the first time- we have been back almost every week. I try something new every time I come and it is consistently AMAZING!!!! Service is great, staff is friendly, beer is awesome and the food..... OMG! Just go in and see for yourself!!!
Great beers and some of the best pork belly I have ever had. Plus, the duck fries... yes please.
Great place to watch the Eagles! Best wings I've had in awhile!!!!!!!!!
Good service, friendly staff, & great gutt filler! \m/
Far exceeded expectations and can't wait to go back. Excellent service, food and drinks. Every aspect of our time at Devil's Den was awesome.
One of my favorite bars I've been to. Love the wood fire.
Great little spot! The buffalo chicken sandwich was so good. Fries are perfect. Portions are pretty big. Drink menu has large variety. Definitely will be returning!
So far I've eaten lunch and brunch here and everything I had was delicious. Didn't have any cocktails but they looked good. The hot dog bites, pulled pork sandwich and french toast were excellent. I also tried some of my mom's scrambled eggs and they are the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. I don't know how they make them but they are a must-order for brunch. It has a typical bar atmosphere with ample outdoor seating. The wait staff was good but they seemed a little bored. Both days I was there were not very busy. Go for the great food - it's worth the trip.
Great spot. Good location, far enough away from the meat head areas but still close enough to go if you're down passayunk. Good bar fare, especially the duck fries. Staff is super cool. Good beer selection.
The food was great and creme brulee was amazing! They had an very smooth pumpkin in Halloween and my while group loved it. 10/10 would rub that pumpkin again!
Great bar with a large, dog friendly outside seating area and charming bar decor inside. Excellent beer menu, and always friendly service. The only thing is the food overall is hit or miss - fantastic burgers, mediocre quesadillas, bad buffalo wings
I went there for the drag show started after 2pm. I ate lunch before I got there. I ordered beet salad but was told they sold out the night before. It is a nice neighborhood bar and restaurant. I actually did not try the food. Everyone around me order burgers and fries. Can't go wrong with burgers and fries if that is what you want.
Duck fries to die for! Outstanding food and service, tasty craft beers with decent Happy Hour discounts!
Top-notch selection that includes bottles. The fireplace is wonderful. I have only had a pretzel bun and hummus with pita chips from the food menu, and was not disappointed. The service has always been acceptable for how busy (or not) the place has been. There's been several times I walked in and out because it was crowded, but I won't hold that against the bar itself. My recommendation is just to go during slower times, and if you're also a service industry employee you can get a discount most days of the week.

I really like Devil’s Den. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed. Plenty of light and during the warm days you can sit outside on the patio which is really quite nice. If you’re going there try the duck fries. They are absolutely delicious. They have pretty good wings but they come in while wings. So it’s a bit messy breaking them away. It’s a great place if you want to stop somewhere and just grab a beer. They have a great selection. Definitely give this place a shot. You’ll like it.
Two words. Duck. Fries. They are as amazing as they sound. Not a Coors light to be found; they serve up some of the best beer in the area. Their Sour Week is always a big hit. Cool atmosphere with artwork featuring the local neighborhood. Great place to hang out at the bar, or for a larger group to grab a meal. Weekend brunch is always a great choice too.
Great neighborhood staple. While I'm not a beer drinker, my friends that are always love the selection. Great food with plenty of vegetarian options. Friendly and welcoming staff and great outdoor seating area.
Decent food and pretty good beer selection. They took some of my favorite food items off the menu which is frustrating (bring back the Mac and cheese) but a lot of things there are interesting enough to try, and consistent enough to order again. i don't like duck fries, but they have those, and I know people that like em.
It's a good place to eat. Parking is hit or miss... More often a miss. Having said that, I keep going back there in spite of that hassle.
Give it a try.
(5 stars if you bring back the Mac and cheese)
A friend brought me here to relax and have a few beers after a long day, and it was a great experience! They have a terrific beer selection, and the atmosphere was very cozy with the fireplace. Didn't eat, but would definitely come back here to sample more beer and eat the next time I am in town!
Very dim intimate setting late at night. Nice fireplace to set a cozy mood.
Came in from the heat to the coldest glass of water and fast service. They kept those freezing water coming lol. I got the hummus plate and 🙌🏻 so good!!! Highly recommend
The rotating draft beer selection is great. They frequently have rare brews on tap. The food is delicious. They serve mussels here and a couple vegetarian/vegan options. They have a big fireplace that they light in the winter that burns wood. You will leave smelling like fire, but it's worth it. They occasionally have special craft brew events that draw large crowds. They don't serve breakfast but they do serve brunch on the weekends.
I admittedly miss the Sausage Gravy for weekend brunch. But it consecutively gets replaced by as good or better. I love this place as its a part of our rotational drinking process. Try the gyro!
The bartender, I think I remember his name as Chris, was so super friendly, soft spoken, and impressively knowledgeable about the on tap list, that our group was super satisfied, and unusually non bitchy about what they got. Kudos!
