Went for breakfast. The food was delicious and the best part was the chocolate Babka. My daughters a Pastry Chef and she thinks their baked breads and desserts are outstanding.
This place is beautiful and has only been opened for two weeks. Very busy. The food was fresh and great and the wine outstanding. My husband and I will be back again.
Such an awesome team from entering to leaving and everything in between. The food was amazing. The presentation was just as great. Amazing cocktail options. Can’t wait to go again.
Thank you Walnut Street Cafe staff! Great job!
Absolutely love this new restaurant...friendly attentive staff, stylish decor and delicious food!
Came here for breakfast/brunch. Food was fantastic, drinks were tasty! Great service. Will be back!
Great atmosphere! I go for the Jazz Brunch. Lovely place!!

Eclectic, yet balanced everything! Must experience in person...
Great breakfast spot! Food was fantastic, service was excellent and the staff were great. Great ambience. Alex the host went out of his way to get my 5 year old paper, pen and some stickers to entertain her. Highly recommend.
This is a cute breakfast place.
The chicken and waffles were good and I thoroughly enjoyed the biscuits and gravy.
The coffee was well brewed and the wait staff was quick and attentive.
If you are in the UPenn area, you can't go wrong with this place.
Reserved the top floor for a meeting and it was very nicely laid out. Alex was our server for the event and he was amazing, he was friendly, engaging, comical and observant to the parties needs. His supervisor who assisted was also friendly and helpful to us.
The food portion was a great amount for the party we had and the food tasted amazing, especially the waffles.
They even had live music playing which was made the atmosphere more relaxing.
Happened to walk in after yoga on the bank, and they had availability at the chef bar. Service was really nice, my waiter had so much knowledge in regards to the menu.
I had their interpretation of a Moscow mule, it was different, fresh but bitter, absolutely delightful if you’re into drinks that aren’t sweet. The beet salad was amazing the dressing ratio was on point and the fresh raspberries brought that whole dish together. The fish sandwich was cool, wish they used a thicker cut of fish, fries as tasty nothing spectacular. I really wanted to eat the fries with their spicy aioli sauce but received it a little too late. I also had the home made turkey sausage 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾 absolutely tasty. Overall I would say 7.5/10 for food ambiance was really nice though, and the live band was a nice touch on brunch.
I do want to go back for the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and I’m definitely getting the beet salad again.
Decent brunch. The breakfast potatoes with spicy were very good. I also liked the biscuits and gravy. Good flavor and portion size. While the chicken and waffle was just okay. The chicken itself was good but for some reason the waffle was overly sweet with small lumps of sugar in it. Would not order that again. We also got the mimosa kit that came out to 4 servings.
Walnut Street Cafe is always a vibe. The food, drinks and service are always on point and the aesthetic is so chic and timeless. The chicken & waffle is my fav for brunch, and the happy hour menu is such a great value. 🥂
Incredible soup, salads, cocktails, and dessert -- a great place for a chill, delicious lunch that's not too stuffy and over-the-top.

Walnut Street Cafe is a trendy and bright place with warm and welcoming seating, including table, bar, and counter seating. The staff is friendly and courteous, and they are quick to welcome you.
There was definitely some confusion with the service. We were told that the restaurant had run out of several dishes and drinks, but later were told that some of those options were available. The mimosa kit only comes with two small juices, which is fine if you prefer to have a high ratio of alcohol to juice. Every dish hit the market except for the chocolate croissant, which felt more like bread with some chocolate inside. I highly recommend the chicken, biscuits, and gravy.
Have been twice now - once for a business lunch and once for Sunday brunch. Both times were lovely experiences. The space is well bright, airy, beautiful. Seats/booths are very comfortable, servers are attentive. The food is solid. Prices are a tad high but seem fair given the ambience, location, and view. Definitely a great, elevated addition to a part of the city that has so many chains and other restaurants mostly catering to students.
Cute restaurant with lovely, unique dishes. Both the host and server were really friendly and helpful.
I had the ricotta ravioli with roasted butternut squash which wasn’t bad, but lacked flavor in my opinion. I’d definitely come back though to try another one of their seasonal dishes!
While not the most convenient place to get to, when we finally found parking and got inside, the experience was great from start to finish. They had a nice lunch menu and I got the artichoke flatbread and my friend got the gnocchi. We split the side of brussel sprouts. The portions were appropriate size, we both finished without having leftovers. The brussel sprouts side was actually surprisingly a really generous portion and super yummy, highly recommend! We both loved our entrees too. Such great flavor combinations, I loved it!
Solid vegetarian options, I had multiple things to choose from.
The inside is so cute right now for Christmas!
Overall a lovely place! I will say that our waiter, Cole, was not very personable or friendly. He was attentive and accommodating but not friendly. The food was good and the prices weren’t horrible. For the food I would come again but not for our waiter. The hostesses were friendly, though. Seating is spacious and very aesthetic.
Absolutely flawless atmosphere excellent customer service and great food, if ever in the area give this place a try 😋 you'll thank me later.
Let’s start with food: I came here the first time and order a Turkey sandwich and gnocchi and burrata. Everything was fresh and delicious. The food was a bit cold when they served it. My second time, I invited friends over for lunch, and order eggplant lasagna, half chicken and full portion of the gnocchi, as well as the cauliflower as an appetizer. Everything was top notch 👍🏼 the flavors and how everything was cooked and presented is amazing. One thing I didn’t like much is the service. Although they are trying hard, it seemed to me that everyone there is new and have no idea what to do. For an amazing place, location, quality of food, I expect the service to be as good. I’m giving them 5 stars cuz they are trying and they are all very friendly.
I really enjoyed myself. I went for my birthday dinner. It was a surprise and I had never heard of the place. We sat outside so I only saw the inside for a few moments but what I saw was beautiful. The outside was very quaint and my husband said it reminded him of L.A. It is next next to a very busy and loud road which definitely spoiled the mood somewhat. Some planters or something to break it up and make it feel more intimate would be great. There was a person off the street asking all the tables for money. What can you do? It's Philly. There were some beautiful views of the Penn medical district and downtown. Lantern flies everywhere. The food was delicious. The timing of the courses was a little off but they don't usually do prix fixe. It was West Philly restaurant week. Everything was seasoned beautifully and the wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The tomato soup came with these ridiculously thin sliced crostini that were so crunchy but melted in your mouth. It was the perfect accompaniment to the soup. The soup was a little heavy on black pepper. The pasta had this intense corn flavor and zucchini. One of the best things I have had in a while. The watermelon ice was so refreshing and was dusted with Tajin. I'm stealing that idea. My husband had this tiramisu made with coconut cream. It was lick the dish good. It was everything. I will go back. Cute cute place with a somewhat casual feel that mixes perfectly with a little fine dining flair.
Sunday brunch at Walnut Street Cafe is fantastic. We got the steak and eggs, waffles, and a side of bacon. To wash it down the mimosa kit (with two flavored juices) was a good addition. All very delicious. Live music is the perfect cherry on top.
Interesting and diverse menu selections at a reasonable price; portions were plentiful. Was pleasantly surprised by the live entertainment upon our arrival. The mimosa kit option was different and enjoyed by our party. Staff was pleasant and food was served hot and not rushed. Would visit again when in the area. The only issue was they were out a a few items on the menu, which resulted in alternate meal choices for us.
