One of my favorite places to eat. My husband and I drive almost 2 hours to have New Deck. The atmosphere is great, staff is friendly, and the food is amazing. I highly recommend the cheesesteak and baked potato soup. Plus the endless choices in beer �
They have fabulous burgers. Very moist with a great flavor.
The waitress memorized our order without writing it down and delivered them to us correctly.
The food was prepared quickly and was hot.

Took a break from visiting U Penn Hospital and walked into this cozy, friendly pub that was bustling at happy hour. The chicken quesadilla was first-rate, service warm, the burgers looked giant and smelled great. Next time!

Stopped in for afternoon drinks with local friends. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, surprisingly cheap drink prices. Good Blue coat martini! Apps were tasty and filling - expected bar food quality. Cheesesteak egg rolls are intriguong, but needed more cheese (or other moisture). Had a great time and would return if ever in the Penn area.
Taking my little one to CHOP and needed a place to eat dinner. Went at 4 and the staff was excellent! Food was delicious! Plus since we were the only ones in our area, they put on toy story for my kiddo to watch!! Will definitely be coming back here!
We drive into Philadelphia once a year for a doctor's appointment & found New Deck Tavern three years ago. We always look forward to our lunch there! Atmosphere is great & food is delicious! The servers are always awesome! Our server this time was Cooper. Thanks again Cooper you were great! *Good luck with your musical career!!
Great local spot. Good spot to catch a game. Great beer selection and reasonable prices. Quality food too. I will be back.
My wife, my son and I stopped in for a quick drink and a bite before the Philadelphia Rebels game. The staff is awesome and fun, the beer was nice and cold, and those MOZZARELLA STICKS!!!! Easily the best I've had in years!! My son was loving his whiz fries, too. We were thissssss close to blowing off the hockey game and just gorging. 10/10 Will be back with a quickness!!

Love the Shepherd's Pie. Every time we go there I think I'll order something different but when the server comes to take our order Shepherds Pie comes out. The baked potato soup is great too. The wait staff is very friendly
If you want a friendly pub experience in University City then this is a place to go. Outdoor, indoor and bar seating with televisions inside to watch sports. Several nights a week there will be live music. The service is consistent and friendly. Food is much better than you’d imagine with a good bit of variety. Expect your meal to come out fast! Extensive beer selection too. Overall a great place for a lunch or dinner.
A standard on Penn's campus for decades and still as great and fun as ever. Highly recommend the awesome fries! Lots of half and half Guiness drinks (with Cider is a great twist). All the sandwiches and salads are great. High end pub food for sure.
Stopped in for a late lunch early dinner. Decent bar grub, good drinks, and a nice pub atmosphere. Have been to Ireland personally and it does remind me of a few pubs that I've been to. I really liked their ceasar salad, almost looked like it was over dressed, but it wasn't. The dressing they use is mild and very good. The pizzas a equally as good, smaller almost personal sized, but definitely good for sharing. The special curry cheese fries they had for the time were surprisingly fantastic.
Excellent food that came out really fast. The waitress was pleasant, but it was sort of lengthy between visits. They started to get busier while we were there so it wasn't awful! Definitely would recommend.
We ate lunch at this place and enjoyed it very much. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed it very much. The singing bartender was a bit distracting, while watching the football game. However, he provided exceptional service.
Very good hickory burger and great fries, good shepherd's pie. Buffalo chicken wrap wasn't good - sent it back, server handled it with no problem.
Menu says $4 draft during college games but bartender initially refused - said during Eagles games only. Had to follow up to get it taken care of.
I loved this restaurant. We spent a long time searching for places to grab food before finding the new deck tavern. The food here is not pricey and delicious. Additionally, the staff was so sweet and helpful. We ate at the outdoor seating for dinner. Good food and good service!
Went during March Madness at like 8 o'clock so it was packed but service was relatively quick. Food was good! Mixed drinks were decent. They also have a giant Moscow mule for like $75 and I'm like omg I'd try that if we had more people. Targeted to a younger crowd. I'd go here again.
Love coming here. Love the Pub feel. All the food had been great. Love music is nice. Great place to have a drink and meal near campus.
My first visit to New Deck Tavern was a good experience. I went with my colleagues to celebrate a team member's promotion. New Deck has a really chill vibe, & the staff is very nice. The crowd filters in & out, so it's never too crowded, & you can enjoy conversation without yelling.
