Been here many times now, each time it gets better and better. Today i decided to bring some friends to my favorite restaurant and had the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Food is fantastic, I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and you can tell that the chef is passionate and truly enjoys cooking. Every dish is prepared with so much attention to detail and creative, explosive flavors that are very unique. The customer service is the absolute best! Always happy, personable and on top of whatever you need. Without a doubt me and my friends favorite restaurant! Highly Recommend.

Dined here with a group for my birthday. Months later, we still talk about what an excellent experience it was. Incredible food, priced well--especially the option to do the multiple courses. The manager and staff were so nice and we really enjoyed such an interactive experience with them, as well as the owner who came out to make sure we were enjoying the food. They went above and beyind to make it a memorable experiece for us. Bonus, we loved being able to bring a few bottles of wine with us.

One of my new favorite BYOs in Philly. The tasting menu option is definitely worth it. The food was extremely good, and pretty authentic Sicilian food. We had to wait a few minutes for our table, but other than that, the service was fantastic. Also it's a cozy place, so definitely make a reservation over the phone first.

Favorite Sicilian restaurant in Philadelphia!!! We even did our rehearsal dinner here last year. The menu rotates but I've never had anything bad. Reservations should be made for the weekends unless you come for an early brunch. The Sicilian fries are a staple and a must try. My wife or I almost always order the gnocchi no matter what it is. Also their new charcuterie boards are a great start, delicious and generous on the portions compared to most other philly restaurants offering something similar. You must try this place!
If your struggling to decide they do a tasting menu for $45 pp

So I forgot about Monsu. I'm a big Peter McAndrews fan, and loved everything from Modo Mio to La Porta. But I left South Philly and just didn't think to come to Monsu with all the new places in Philly.
My mistake. If you are tired of the same brunch variants of eggs Benedict, a couple egg sandwich variants, and maybe a steak and egg take...this is where you need to go. Lumache (snails) in mushroom demi, rigatoni carbonara with a friend egg, and plenty more options that you won't find elsewhere. Without the crowd, and with a fantastic wait staff.
I won't be forgetting again soon.

This restaurant simply has excellent food. The snail appetizer and the octopus appetizer were done differently than we've had before but both were outstanding. Four of us ate there and we all agreed our entrees we're amazing. It doesn't have the best atmosphere but they more than make up for it with the freshness and quality of food. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

The food was amazing and so was the service. We were here for a surprise birthday party, and the staff was insanely helpful, kind, fun, and SO excited to be part of it. They did an amazing job, and really seemed to enjoy working at the restaurant and with each other. And the food was incredible -- creative and delicious. Highly recommended!

Unexpectedly delicious brunch. I took my family here on a whim and we were thoroughly impressed by the food. Very very good tastes to be had. Delicious coffee too.
4 stars because I think the chef had a hard time preparing everything at the same time, my potatoes were closer to lukewarm than hot.
