This place made me desperately miss Ireland.
The shepherd pie is made with lamb, and the truffle flavoring in the mash was perfectly balanced.
The blackberry margarita was sweet and delightful.
The dessert, though? Absolutely amazing. Dulce banana bread bread pudding was so amazing and the perfect density. The brownie alamode was a proper Irish brownie, so more cake-like than a normal American brownie, which is definitely on point for Irish cuisine.
Our waitress, Lauren, was vibrant and engaging. Her service was amazing, and she made our visit absolutely well worth the money.
Their outside seating is covered, and well heated, so we were happy to sit outside in December!
I will definitely be returning. I'm glad I brought my out of town coworkers here to highlight the diversity of Philly. Thank you for the amazing atmosphere, food, and service. ❤️
Toya was our server. Very quick, hospitable and knowledgeable. I have to say, I had the beet salad and it’s the best salad I ever had. On a scale from 1-5 it definitely was a 10!!! My husband had the fish & chips. Delicious also. Cold slaw was a 4.
Great bar downtown. Full liquor bar and beers on draft and wine. Service was great and the interior is beautiful. My husband and I didnt eat but the food coming out looked and smelled amazing.
Nice Irish pub style restaurant. Service staff was friendly and attentive. The dri KS were your standard English pub mix with a few hometown cocktails. Ordering was quick and easy, and the food served hot. The fish and chips were fresh and hand breaded on site. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
Stopped in without reservations and were seated immediately. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Food was good and drink selection was diverse and contained enough variety to appeal to all in our party. Felt a little rushed with little time between appetizers and entrée, but overall a nice experience.
Go here for our annual Christmas lunch, food is great. Wish they wouldn't seat up by the door, it's gets chilly. Otherwise 5 stars...
Really cool, cozy atmosphere. Excellent food and not overly pricey, considering its location. Trevor was a wonderful server with a great smile and attitude. Would recommend and will return!
Excellent food, staff and a very fun environment. We stayed in the hotel that is attached and it was great to finally have good food attached to a hotel.
We happened to arrive on a night with a live band, which made an already loud place even louder, so conversation was difficult. But it was still a lot of fun - the band was good, the vibes were upbeat, I enjoyed it. I got the Bangers and Mash, and immediately had to try to recreate at home. It was VERY good. They have Victory on tap which is always a plus in my opinion. Our waitress was adorable, and we really enjoyed ourselves.
We really enjoyed our time here while visiting Philly! The drinks were great especially the pumpkin martini. Highly recommend the French dip! Our server Cam was phenomenal! Friendly, funny, and great service. Be sure to ask for him when you stop in
Ambience is very nice, but people are usually screaming because its part sports bar. The drinks were very good, food was also very good. It's a bit pricy but I don't feel like it wasn't completely worth it. Service wasn't amazing. I don't think I would go back but it was worth trying.
I'm in the middle. The smiling energetic faces that are fooling you are staff members, my latest victims. The guy in the back of the photo, is Alejandro who waited on me last May when I visited from Boston. At that particular lunch there was not an empty seat and a server called off leaving only Alejandro and some woman who has since left to go on to darker pastures. They worked effortlessly. Grace (not the server Gracie) under pressure.
Last week I was in Fort Lauderdale and headed to Con Murphy my favorite restaurant. I was greeted by Kayla who possesses a unique gift in her personality of being sassy and charming at the same time. I told her I recognized her when I purchased a gift card and she had no earthly clue how to ring it up. I said, "well you're going to learn." She remembered me. LOL.
I'm not sure what my favorite memory is here. It may have been with Adrian. I was craving chocolate. I could practically taste the lava cake as it was being prepared in the kitchen. I thought the sun would come up before I was ever going to see that cake. Adrian informed me with great trepidation that the lava had been 86'd. I had a reaction. I teased him, a fabulous professional. Once I was having eggs benedict for breakfast and Faith came to my table and asked me to move because a large party was coming in. I shot her a look as my utensils and I hesitantly traveled 20 feet ending up in a corner where I had claustrophobia served with home fries. The large party never came. It dwindled in size. I thought about dwindling Faith's gratuity. Manager Demetrius once practically ran an obstacle course through the entire restaurant to present my blonde brownie with whipped cream as the cream was definitely experiencing climate warming dripping onto my sandals. Excellent but it did not quench the chocolate craving. Then there is Alex, a bartender who supplied the greatest laugh. One night I was having the barbecue wings that serve up the best barbecue sauce in all of Florida as far as I'm concerned (although I've never been to Tallahassee so I may be jumping the gun). Bree was serving me and could not have been more pleasant with great recommendations anticipating everything I needed. However my fingers were drenched in sauce and I went through so many napkins that the only thing left was the ocean across the street. A man sitting at a table behind me began a conversation with me informing me he was from New York. I told him I was from Boston and he had no idea where Boston is. Alex from behind the bar heard this conversation and she roared, "talk about denial New York, good God." Alex became my hero at that moment.
I had not seen Alejandro all week however low and behold he showed up. Everything now will go right. But God had other plans. I was doing a talk to text with the microphone open. When Alejandro came to my table telling me the food would be out soon, (I had completely forgotten what I ordered at this point) we had a conversation involving his goals. The conversation lasted approximately 7 to 8 minutes. When he walked to go back to the kitchen to do God only knows what, I picked up my phone and saw that I had dictated the entire conversation. Everything from becoming an EMT to Adrian's missing lava cake, and the claustrophobic seating from Faith. LOL.
I hope anyone who reads this review will easily surmise that they will make you feel like family here. This is not simply a job for these people. It is a passion with the highest value in customer relations. They truly care that you have a good experience and when they wish you to return, they really mean it.
I thank Kayla, Faith, Bree, Alex, Alejandro, Gracie, Julie the general manager, Joelle, Adrian, Demetrius for whom I wish an extended happy birthday, and every employee in the back of the house of whom I did not have the pleasure to meet. You all mean the world to me and I think you know that.
I have been living with brian cancer and you guys have impacted me with joy beyond measure making some of my difficulty less burdensome.
I'm grateful. God bless.
Frequented this place before the pandemic, but this was my first time back there since before 2019. Decided to go here the other night to watch the Phillies games and luckily they had like a table/seats available.
We ended up sitting in the upstairs part - that's the only place with a table or seats. Once we found a table, our waitress came over a few minutes later to ask if we wanted service & took our drink orders. She was very nice and attentive during our entire dining experience. Drinks wise, we each had about 3 or 4. I ordered the Mule a few times plus the Downeast cider, while he ordered one of the Old Fashions and one of the beers a few times. Food wise, we ordered the Dry Rub Wings and the Nachos with Short Rib. Both were so good! Especially the nachos. Could tell both dishes were freshly made, got taste and sooo filling.
Of course I recommend checking them out and would definitely keep coming back.
Everything I want out of an Irish pub experience. The apple cider mule was delicious. The Reuben was quite good and it came with a bunch of really good fries. To improve the sandwich, less meat and more thousand island would be my preference.
This pub is awesome! Cozy Irish Pub inside The Windsor Suites with great, friendly bartenders and some of the most delicious, crispy, juicy chicken tenders I’ve ever had! Fries were so good as well! It’s affordable, convenient and fun. I’d stay at this hotel again just to have this place so close!
I recently vacationed to Philly and was walking down the street when I noticed this adorable pub. As soon as my friend and I walked in, we were greeted by the wonderful hostess and was seated immediately. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name) was so friendly and took our drink order right away. I ordered the fish & chips and OMG was it delicious. This will be a definite stop on my list when visiting Philly! YUM!!
I had a great breakfast this morning at Con Murphy’s. Eggs were done perfect and I appreciated the option of chicken sausage. Sean C was my bartender and he was very attentive and down to earth. I appreciated the conversation before the big race weekend!
First visit on a Tuesday night. Ordered the short rib mac and cheese and Philly cheese steak, beef stew are all very good. The meat is very tender and favorable. They even has a DJ there to play music and trivia.
One of the best bars in Philly. Staff always extremely welcoming. Atmosphere is second to none. Food is delicious. You always stay longer than expected because you don't want to leave.
