Beautiful ambiance for the price point, I was a bit awe struck as we were seated because the view and natural lighting are really lovely. We arrived before lunch and scored a table right by the windows. Service was prompt and courteous and water refills were on point. My party shared an assortment of sashimi and maki and everything was excellent in taste, freshness, and quality. Nice attention to detail with presentation. Check for party of 3 was about $100 + tip which is the average we spend on a sushi dinner, the menu had enough options for us at various price points. I left very satisfied and look forward to returning and enjoying Kogetsu's lovely atmosphere again soon.
The view of the water was beautiful and the food was delicious. Just went for a light lunch and it was perfect.
Absolutely delicious. Beautiful view outside and very nice patio. Being so near the water it was a bit buggy but that's to be expected. Everything we tasted was delicious. The sushi was very well prepared and great quality. The scallion pancakes were phenomenal we will order it every time we visit. We loved it so much we went back two days in a row!
The best thing about Kogetsu is it's location. They have an outdoor deck that overlooks a dam. The wasabi shumai was very good and the baby octopus is excellent. I wasn't thrilled with the walnut shrimp, we enjoyed the Hawaiian duck more.
Just some of the delicious food we ordered. My husband also had sushi and it was phenomenal. We were impressed with everything. There is also a cute view of a small waterfall. Great setting, amazing food, attentive service.
Good food, good service, great spot. As others have noted, the dining part of the experience can be a little hit-or-miss — I was annoyed that my server never asked if I wanted a second drink — but the overall atmosphere and view makes up for a lot.
