Thai Essence

What a surprise! We were traveling through and stoped on a whim and so far has been the best food we have had traveling down the coast!! Best Pad Thai I have ever had and my wife’s green curry was off the charts! We also tried the turmeric fried rice and were treated to a wonderful blend of flavors!!

Thai Essence was recommended by a friend of mine so I decided to give them a try. Wow! I’m glad I did. I had the Panang Curry which was recommended by the waiter and it was delicious. You can really taste the difference and authenticity of their food from their curry sauce to their vegetables. I was told the owner/chef Phang came here to the states to bring his unique recipes to Petaluma. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying the next dish! I recommend giving them a try. Plus the owners very nice and came out to welcome me. I love that kind of service.

Soo yummy! This is one of my friends family go to restaurants and I can see why! They're super friendly and helpful and help you pick what spice is best for you. The dishes are nice because theyre all so customizable, you can choose the protein or veggies, what type of spice and how spicy. What other places do that! So cool. Will definitely be coming back!

The Thai chef at Thai Essence really knows how to prepare traditional Thai dishes. In fact, the entire experience at Thai Essence is authentic, including the spoon and fork utensils which are used in Thailand without a knife. Simply use the fork to push the food onto your spoon and eat with the spoon as you would normally with a fork. That is thai style. Chef Phant came out of the kitchen to greet me as I had some questions about the food, and he prepared my savory dishes to the perfect spice level I requested. Thai Esence is easy on the wallet and a very comfortable venue to enjoy delicious thai dining.

We went to this place for dinner tonight after a place we originally went to seemed too busy for us. I’m so happy we decided to try out Thai essence instead. First the hospitality was amazing, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a waiter give us another frosted glass for the beer that we were drinking mid-way to freshen it up. Amazing! He was also extremely informative about the dished and so kind. The meals itself: we got the yellow curry which was flavourful, just the right spice and had a thick sauce which I thoroughly enjoy. I also liked that they used different types of potatoes such as yams in the dish too which gave the dish more textures. My partner had the classic spicy chicken which he loved and said that the chicken was soft and had good flavours. We both think this is the best Thai we’ve ever eaten. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you!

This is the kind of place that makes me wish I didn't give out five stars so often. Ridiculously good 'n saucy. I'd be willing to bet the price complainers on here are tourists or competetors because my cashew chicken was totally reasonable for Sonoma County. My parents give it four thumbs up as well. Go local and enjoy!
