Shady Lady Grill

Wait staff was nice. Owner/cook turned off the grill conveniently when I sent my food back due to my food allergy. I had informed my waitress that I had a dairy allergy! I notified the waitress, I did not want onions and cheese on my BBQ Pig Special and to put the BBQ sauce on the side, add lettuce, tomato, pickle, and a side of mayo. I also notified my waitress that I didn't want the traditional fries that I wanted the waffle fries. At no point during my visit did any staff member notify me that butter was used to toast the bun. I asked what type of bread was used, but I just assumed they put it on the grill for a min and served since I notified the waitress of my dairy allergy. The owner/cook came out and notifed us that she had turned the grill of 30 minutes prior to closing and she was not going to remake my special could she make me a salad? When I started to tell her what I wanted, she tells me shes not taking my order and tells to her waitress that she doesn't have time ... you get the picture right? Who do you have time for if not for your patrons! I went there for good food not fast food that's why I took the time to order and notify the waitress of my allergy. I didn't tell her about my allergy to onions, but the menu notifed me so I was able to order accordingly.

I have eaten here just twice and the food was good. Not great, but also not at all bad. What is sad is that they are only open during lunch time Monday through Friday (Saturday? not sure). They were friendly, the place was clean and it didn't take too long to get the food. It was good, but basically what one would expect in a restaurant... nothing out of the ordinary. The location is somewhat awkward and out-of-the-way, though right in town, but it really is a good place.
