Sonny's Bbq

We placed an order online and came to pick it up, we are delivering down the road (truck driver) and wanted a good meal and we weren’t disappointed. Food was ready on time, hot, fresh and everything tasted delicious. I got the Sonny’s sampler and hubby ribs. Definitely will come back next time we see one in our travels. Also wanted to add the put silverware, extra napkins, butter and everything in the bag without having to ask and that is GREATLY APPRECIATED!! Semi trucks there is a Walmart parking lot you pull in to if you want to stop and grab some yummy BBQ

I had been craving bbq for some time and finally got to feed my hunger. I used the drive theu. We paid $25 for two pulled pork sandwiches, burnt okra and under cooked baked beans. Sandwiches were good except I'd asked for the garlic toast on the side to keep it from getting soggy which they didn't do and the sides were inedible. The okra was so burnt tasting that I spit it out and beans were hard to even chew. 100% over bbq for awhile.

When slice pork is over cooked, you should let costumer's know before ordering. Because it doesn't come out sliced comes out in chunks and doesn't taste good. Waste of money when that's the only thing I eat there. Update, few weeks later. Same place, ordered same thing, got same thing as before NONE SLICED PORK. DOES THIS LOOK LIKE slice???? Then don't sell it. UGHHHHH................

I went in to have lunch and I purposely waited until after 1pm to miss the church crowd. After waiting for some time(longer than 15 minutes as told) I was finally seated at the bar as I requested. I waited another 15 minutes and left. No one even spoke with me to tell they would be back but I saw them talking to each other. I have never experienced this kind of rude service at this Sonny’s and I go nearly every Sunday to eat there because the service is good as is the food.

We were seated by a miserable waitress. We sat for ten minutes without any other server coming to the table. Another table of 4 were seated and even got drinks before I finally got up and told them we had been waiting, so they finally came over. Food was delivered fast, but tasted like it had been sitting all day. Food was only lukewarm. Our sandwiches didn't have the mustard sauce. We ordered fountain drinks/tea, but were never offered water. One waitress was sitting while cleaning a table off. We were just passing through, but I sure wish we had picked a different place. Unfortunate.

Although I can understand the 15 minutes to get a seat, I however cannot understand the 15 minutes to just place a drink order. Then the 30 minutes to get drinks and place order even if we knew what we wanted to order. Then the 1 hour for the food although it had good taste it was somewhere between warm and cold but could not eat it as it was not warm enough to eat. Service was extremely slow.

It was ok... We sat down and waited 30 minutes with no help. I went up to the host station and asked if we had a server and she got right on it. Within seconds we had our order placed and just a few minutes later had our food and drinks. It was about an hour and 20 till closing, so I'd imagine that's why our sliced pork seemed a bit old. But it was not the worst we've had. They didn't charge us for anything even after I insisted on paying. It happens... In today's world, it's not as bad as it could be. Thank you to the servers that do good work and definitely to the lady that took care of us. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name.
