Review The Cactus - Perham

Great place to eat when out on a date with your significant other or your friends or your family. There are two different sections you can dine at. The Dining area or the Bowling area. They have a recently remodeled bowling area with new and additional seating, a golf simulator and some games for the kids. The food has been great everytime we eat here and it comes out quickly. Also has a rental are for large groups or events. Great menu options all year long!

So disappointing. You would think with the restaurant as empty as it was the food would have been perfect. Only two out of six meals were really edible. The walleye had so many bones in it that we didn't dare continue eating it. The special of the day had some kind of stake rolled around spinach and it was supposed to have a sauce that was the best. The steak could not even be chewed and had to be spit out and there was no sauce on it. Chicken was way overdone and not edible and the potatoes were cold. They wouldn't even melt the butter. Shrimp was chewy and inedible as well. Very disappointing since the last meal I had there was great. I will not be returning because obviously they do not use quality control when serving and our waitress seemed less than enthusiastic to be helping us.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. It was an upscale menu with lots of choices, some a bit spendy, and others very reasonable considering the amount of food and the rich delicious flavors blended so well together... I had the Shrimp Scampi Alfredo over a penne pasta... with the loaded potato soup... so yummy! everyone in our party of four enjoyed their meals and the ambience was great for visiting too. We would certainly remember this place again to try something else on the menu, and will be back for another opportunity for dining out...

Food was allright, nothing spectacular. The waitress was really annoying, she wouldn't stop talking and at one point she had her phone out showing us pictures. Would go back again if we are in the area.

Came for dinner to celebrate my husband's b'date. We loved our food and cocktails. The service was good and fast, our food was ready in less than 30 minutes. They serve salad or soup as entree included in your dish cost. The prices are fine for what you get. I do have to tell some of the cutlery looks really old.

We ordered the ribeye steak. I'm not convinced it was a ribeye. Both of us ordered them medium and they were overcooked and burnt on the edges. My baked potato was sort of brown from sitting too long. We will not be returning anytime soon. The price was expensive for the food we were served. I have no problem spending money on an excellent meal. Our server was good though.

Great food! Wife and I had burgers with various sides. Kids all (3) had grilled cheese and fries. Not a single kid complained, they just commented how good it was. Even the adults were impressed with the grilled cheese. Burgers were great and the fries had awesome seasoning. It's a touch on the spendy side but by no means out of line for what you get. We have always been happy when we eat here.
