Breen's Diner

Breen's is such a local gem. Good food, good services and good price. I took parents and kids here for lunch on a Saturday. I had the Egg Beni. The eggs were cooked perfectly with melting yoke. Two kids were able to share one full size of Chicken and Waffle which comes with two waffles with lots of fried chicken stripes and maple bacon butter, yummy as they said. Mom had the scrambled eggs with veggies, the small portion is enough. Dad had the big plate of breakfast favorites which he could only finish half and took the other half home. There are lots of old fashion stuff here including an old jukebox and lots of Elvis related stuff too.

The eggs Benedict was very good, I got a side of corned beef hash but it was extremely dry and cold. The waitress who took care of us was extremely rushed and didn't pay any attention to myself and my guest. I didn't think it was that busy to warrant the poor service. That was my first time there, I may try it another time to see how that works. My guest was happy with his food.

Great, friendly, and speedy service! Ultra accommodating and friendly. I dont like eggs, and just wanted a breakfast sandwich without them, and the waitress went ahead and offered to make me a grilled cheese with thick slices of Texas toast, even though they weren't serving lunch at the time. She was very friendly, cheerful, and eager to help. The service was also super speedy which was nice. I will definitely be paying another visit.

Loved Breens, willling to try Frannys again in a few months. Husband and I sat at the counter Sunday, every server walked passed us but never greeted. After about 10 minutes I flagged one down so we could order. Waited about a half hour for food. Had to ask for our coffee, cream, butter , and syrup. I would like to think they can work the kinks out. My one suggestion would be getting a computer system for the servers. The majority of the time they were looking at menus writing out tabs and calculating tax. They could have spent that time paying attention to the customers instead of their heads down. Food was decent, hash browns tasted like a pool of old grease though. They have potential.
